Infiniti - Who is responsible for reimbursement?
Location: Texas
Mind you we have been a returning customer for the last 9 years to the same salesman at the same dealership. He has always gone above and beyond with taking care of us with exceptional customer service to the point of even driving 2hrs to deliver our last leased vehicle in our driveway.
So now the dilemma; we recently returned 2022 lease and signed a new lease for a 2025 at Infiniti dealership February 1st. After all the paperwork is completed we get keys for 2025 vehicle and drive home.
Fast forward to February 22nd I see the reoccurring payment of $975 from the old 2022 leased vehicle. Then on 26th another one for $1130 for new 2025 lease which was expected.
Wife contacts salesman and says he will look into it with Infiniti finance department. After a couple of days he tells us that Infiniti finance for the old lease had not yet received dealership check for the vehicle payoff, then proceeds to tell us after they receive it we would be receiving a reimbursement check in the mail “around” the same amount of $975 from old lease that we are no longer in possession of.
Wife contacts Infiniti finance and they basically tell us that the dealership is at fault and it’s out of their hands.
Now we are in April and salesman telling us he will get with GSM, but GSM is somehow always busy (out of office at auctions, yadda yadda). We have yet to receive the “check” or any further information on the matter from dealership.
This our 4th vehicle through this dealership with no issues at all and now this. What route do I take? Anyone else ever have this problem? Do I take legal action over $975?
PetsBest - PetsBest
How long does it usually take for PetsBest to reimburse you? For some reason, it says that my payment date was April 3, but I haven’t received anything
UHC - CPT Code J8499–What Is It?
I posted a couple of weeks ago about an ongoing claim between the hospital where I had ACDF surgery at on November 1st and my health insurance, UHC. The latest development is that UHC has sent yet another claim letter to the hospital , asking for specifics on an unidentifiable CPT code. Based on a prior claim letter, I suspect its CPT code J8499 which was sent to UHC to the tune of almost $14,000 out of a nearly $30K claim. I had read that this code is used for oral drugs but I can’t imagine what they would have given me that would have cost that much. The claim is on hold for 90 days yet again, but I’m getting spooked just like I did a couple of weeks ago. I mean, this claim has just dragged and dragged because UHC has to keep asking the hospital for information and I just don’t get what’s so hard in terms of the hospital giving them what they need.
Anyone familiar with the code and its use?
DentaQuest - Did anyone able to get the reimbursement from DentaQuest ? For root canal
I took a $2,000 medical loan for the root canal, and now DentaQuest is not reimbursing me. They are asking me why I didn’t go to one of their in-network endodontists. The reason is that I was in severe pain, and it took DentaQuest 2-3 weeks to find an endodontist, but they couldn’t find one in time. I eventually had to take out the loan and get the procedure done on my own. Now , still waiting for the DentaQuest reimbursement .
Aetna - Reverse a processed claim - Aetna
I got a MRI done two weeks ago. When I scheduled the appointment the staff told me they didn’t know the amount to be billed since my insurance is a high yield deductible and no copay. They mentioned that if I want to pay out of pocket without using my insurance it would be $500.
Fast forward I received a processed claim from Aetna saying that I need to pay $920 and that the X-ray company billed them $1,200.
Is there any way to reverse this? I feel scammed by both the X-ray company and Aetna. Can I fight back a processed claim?
UnitedHealthcare - no health insurance 20yo
I have been dealing with new health issues and it’s freaking me out. I was previously on medicaid under my mother but became ineligible after I turned 19. I cannot enroll for myself because I was denied twice already for other reasons/don’t meet this “qualification.” Before that happened, I was with a provider who ordered a scan for me that showed something but I had to cancel the appointment after losing coverage.
My mother then unfortunately put me under a plan under UHC but after I started having issues with them (plus all the things that’s been said about them in general), I’m thinking I should look for another.
I’m not sure where to go from here though because it’s passed the enrollment deadline since a while ago and I do not meet any of the special circumstances to enroll. Both of my parents are on medicaid so that’s not an option for me anymore.
(for context I am 20F in college, currently don’t work a job, and from Illinois)
Geico - 7 Months Later, My Insurance Says the Damage Is Way Worse Than They Thought…?
Back in August 2024, I rear-ended a 2024 Nissan Rogue, which then bumped into a Toyota RAV4. The damage seemed pretty minor at the time—both cars were able to drive away from the scene without any issues.
I had $20k in property damage liability. Today, I got a call from Geico saying that the initial repair estimate for the Rogue was $3k, and they already paid out $3k for the RAV4. But now, months later, they say a new assessment came in after further inspection and the Rogue’s repair cost estimate is actually $14k. They also mentioned they covered rental costs for the Rogue.
It’s been 7 months, and I’m just confused—why the huge jump in the estimate and such a long delay? Is this normal? Feels a bit suspicious to me. Geico also havenot told how much i have to pay out of pocket. They said they called me just to let me know. I am stressed and worried.
What should I do?
Anthem Blue Cross - Denial of claim ?
I have medi-cal through anthem blue cross in association with LA care health plan. I have never had Medicare part B.
I had a ultrasound in october 2024 which was approved by my primary care provider.
I just got a letter today from the centers for medicare and Medicaid services, fargo ND.
It is saying that the ultrasound was not approved and i may be billed 220$
It also says i have not met my part B deductible of 240$
Again, i don't have medicare part B.
Im not experienced with these insurance issues. I dont know if medi-cal already paid this or not, it's been almost 6 months. Is this medicare preparing to bill me for services already paid by medi-cal ?
Thank you, input appreciated.
State Farm - State Farm valued total loss truck at 25k and tried to send payment of 22.9k
Buddy of mine is really having issues with State Farm. After a long back and forth they came to a number of $25,750 minus the $500 deductible for a total of $25,250 for his truck. He was hit in mid February of this year. He finally received an email today saying he could accept the payout and the number was almost 10% less at $22,999.19. What in the world is going on here? What recourse does he have and has anybody experienced this? Thanks in advance
Geico - Diminished value claim in no fault accident with uninsured driver
I was rear ended last week while driving my 16-day old 2025 Subaru Outback Premium. The other driver was in a Hertz rental vehicle and his car was 'insured' with his Chase Business Ink Preferred card but that does not include liability insurance, and he does not have personal car insurance otherwise, so he does not have any insurance to cover the damage to my vehicle. He apparently lives fulltime in Israel although I think he is also a New Jersey resident. It is not clear to me how he could legally be driving a rental vehicle without liability insurance or how Hertz rented him a car without it but that is more of a side note since regardless of the circumstances he does not have liability insurance. I spoke with my insurance company, Geico, and they are directing me to go get my car fixed, to pay the deductible, and that they will confirm he is not insured and then pursue him personally through collections if needed. I am still waiting for the Geico coverage team to reach out to me since they apparently want to confirm this isn't a fraudulent claim as the vehicle and insurance are brand new so I am waiting to get the car repaired in the meantime. I did visit the Subaru mechanic earlier in the week and they thought that in addition to replacing the back bumper there is likely damage to the frame based on a visual inspection. Of course, they won't know anything for sure until they open the car up and look. They recommended that I make a claim for Diminished Value since the car is certainly worth a lot less than it was a couple days prior- I haven't even made my first payment on the $35k loan. I asked Geico about a Diminished Value claim but they told me that the claim needs to be filed against the other driver's insurance and that basically it doesn't have anything to do with them. I do have $250k of Uninsured Motorist Bodily Injury/Supplementary Uninsured Motorist but apparently that doesn't do me any good (my car and insurance are New York). I have been in contact by text message with the other driver but I'm highly skeptical that he would pay me thousands of dollars out of pocket on top of the other liability that he has since his proposal to me was that I run this all through my insurance and he sends me $500 for the deductible "to make me whole".
What are my options moving forward? Do I engage an assessor after the repairs are complete so that I have a record of the diminished value? Maybe it's better that I get a lawyer who has experience with this and can manage the court process for me since this will almost definitely go to small claims court?
