Fetch - Worst company I have ever encountered
These reviews have got to be fake or bots, please go look at their reviews on Yelp and filter to “most critical” on the app store to read real reviews of people experiencing how terrible Fetch Pet insurance is.
If I could give them a 0 star I would. This has got to be the worst company I have ever dealt with, and mind you I was an assistant for 5 years so I have encountered my fair share of difficult people and companies. Take every bad experience i’ve had, double it, multiply by 10 and it still doesn’t compare to how dirty this company will do you.
In the past two years I have tried to cancel a countless amount of times and keep getting charged over and over. We have not used this insurance for over a year and a half and not only did they make it difficult to cancel, they wouldn’t refund us for the payment that hit today. You will never see a dime of your reimbursement, as all the other reviews explain, you will get constantly denied, and good luck trying to get a hold of anyone.
The customer service was horrible. Straight trash. They seriously don’t care! If you took the time to read this, please take the time to research a different insurance that values their customers and your babies.
Fetch Canada - I was told on the phone a bunch of…
I was told on the phone a bunch of great things. Like when you put in a claim it takes a few days to be refunded if I got the wellness added to my pets insurance. But that is not true now that I put in a claim I’m told it can take almost a month. Why was I told a bunch of lies on the phone ? So you could get a new customer? I truly hope it does not take that long because if it does I won’t be staying with fetch. If I get it soon then I will change my review but I’m still not impressed with being told a different story just to hook a new customer
Fetch Canada - Bad service
When I paid for the insurance, I took it in case I needed to do something urgent for my cat. And it so happened that I had to visit the emergency once. I paid everything myself and sent an insurance claim for a refund. I had to wait almost 2 months for a response, first to receive information that there were not enough documents, and then a decline. It is very difficult to contact support. When I asked to cancel the subscription, they told me that I had to complete a quest to cancel. In general, it looks like a scam scheme.
Fetch - They claim to genuinely care about…
They claim to genuinely care about their customers, saying, “While we do our best to explain coverage based on the terms of the policy…”, in reality, you log into your account only to see claim denied, claim denied, claim denied… with nothing but a vague reference to the terms and conditions. They don’t even bother to provide an explanation or point to a specific section of the policy.
If they truly cared about their customers, the most important parts of the terms and conditions—especially regarding pre-existing conditions and the few conditions that are never covered—would be clearly displayed on the first page of their website, not buried in microscopic lettering deep within their terms and conditions. They don’t do this because they know people would be aware of these limitations and most likely wouldn’t sign up for their insurance.
Caring means being transparent so pet owners can make informed decisions upfront, not blindsiding them during some of the most difficult and heartbreaking moments of their lives.
Fetch - I have placed two claims and inputted…
I have placed two claims and inputted all documentation. Both claims get denied. The dog was a rescue and is only a year old so we do not have extensive history. I inputted every document we have including all doctors notes but still no luck. Why do I have insurance if you cannot use it? Policy is WAG0575000-01. Claim numbers 005437452 and 005458142. The first states heartworm which the claim has nothing to do with. These claims are only for xrays taken. So disappointing.
Fetch - We purchased the best package we could
We purchased the best package we could. Costs us about $140 a month. Large dog, 5 years old, good health, UTD all shots and visits. Have the "wellness" pkg. Scripts, etc. My first claim Scripts was $242. Heartworm,
flea and tic med for 6 months. (ONE Perscription) They paid $60. $60 is what they will pay for 1 year, max. I don't think the wellness part of the insurance is worth it. Deductible does not apply so not a reason.
Fetch - Scam insurance
Scam insurance. Fetch was originally Pet Plan Insurance which was great. I had a yearly $200 deductible. It magically changed to $200 per illness when Fetch took over. They try their best to deny claims and they are very slow to process claims. It's a battle to get reimbursed. Impossible to communicate with. They are more than doubling the renewal premium to $325/month for my 14 year old dog. I will find other insurance or self insure. Nightmare insurance.
Fetch - Terrible customer service, run!
I've had insurance with Fetch for two pets for several years, luckily we never had to use it. I bought wellness insurance last year and have a terrible time with claims, valid claims get denied and you can't talk to anyone about it, I had to lie about the reason I was calling to talk to a live person. When they looked into it, they admitted they had screwed up. I'm still waiting for a reassessment though. I'm canceling and finding another company. Two stars because the claim was easy to file but that's the only positive I've had, people are nice but so what?
Fetch - Uncomfortable Cancelling Experience
Adopted a pet from the humane society and was signed up for this insurance. Called to cancel, and instead of processing my request the rep would just seemingly ignore me and respond with manipulative questions. It was weird, I had to get really firm and just repeat “please cancel my account”. I’ve actually never experienced anything like that. Went from a neutral opinion and just not a product I need at this time, to a very negative opinion and actively telling people to beware/avoid. Not a company I will use in the future. Ever.
Fetch Canada - Never reimbursed
I recently took my cat to vet and had an emergency dental procedure. I submitted the claims to Fetch and first they asked for more documentation and after two months they just denied it because they didn’t feel like it was urgent enough! that was my first ever claim with them! Scam insurance! Won’t be there when you need it most!!
