Fetch - SCAM & GRIMEY BUSINESS
Fetch Pet Insurance is an absolute scam. We filed a $9,000 claim for our pet’s medical expenses and received literal pocket change in compensation. Their policies are riddled with fine print designed to deny your claims, and their so-called “coverage” is a joke.
They don’t care about your pets or their well-being — it’s all about the money. Avoid this company at all costs if you value your pet’s health and your wallet. Do yourself a favor and find an insurance provider that actually cares. Fetch is nothing more than a predatory business hiding behind a façade of concern for animals. Total disgrace.
Fetch - Another greedy insurance company
Overall, just typical deceitful practice and straight up lying what is in the actual policy. Your claims will be denied, and they will pull out very broad and wide sweeping tiny print on why. I was shown several times in writing "every tooth, plus gums is covered" in actuality per policy no teeth are covered. The trick is to show you documents that are NOT the actual policy and just tell you what you want to hear. This experience has made me just done with pet insurance and I warn anyone who goes with Fetch to read the actual policy and not trust what is being said. Fetch works on a reimbursement basis, so I was confident in getting my cat treated as soon as possible, and foolishly relying on Fetch has caused me to be in a really tight spot financially and warn people to be prepared for 0 coverage from Fetch.
Fetch - Fetch Pet insurance jacked my rates up over 50% for using my policy
I have had Fetch for a year and my renewal is coming up. I had claims for the first year that equaled less than 50% of the allowable amount that they will pay out when I received the renewal quote, my dog is only 2 years old. And they are jacking up my premium by around 58%. I'm OUT. I will say for the honeymoon first year they were great, claims processed in a timely manner. But, Buyer Beware, use it and they'll make you PAY.
Fetch - Would not sign up ever
UPDATE - after giving Fetch bad reviews, their CS team called again to tell us its denied again. The reason for the denial...? Gingivitis. We go in for a yearly cleaning and we are getting denied on the cleaning because of gingivitis that can occur after 24 hrs. Your company is a bunch of crooks taking our monthly premium and denying claims due to frivolous reasons.
Would not sign up ever. Below is our review of this company.
We have a Maltese and do his yearly cleanings. We went from having healthy paws pet insurance since he was born and then switched to Fetch due to this being available through our work. Biggest mistake ever. We take our dog to get his yearly cleaning EVERY year. Our prior pet insurance never had issues but when we first did a claim for his cleaning and extractions through Fetch, they denied it based off pre-existing conditions (Gingivitis)!!!! Gingivitis can develop within 24 hours and they are denying the claim based off that!! We will be cancelling our membership and want you to know the disgust we have with Fetch.
Fetch Canada - I am beyond disappointed with Fetch Pet…
I am beyond disappointed with Fetch Pet Insurance. Your lack of integrity and compassion is absolutely appalling. As young professionals with limited income, we trusted Fetch to protect our beloved puppy in case of illness, but instead, they left us with a $1,600 vet bill because of their nonsensical policies and refusal to provide the coverage we paid for.
Our puppy had diarrhea before our coverage began which began under the breeders care, which they conveniently used as an excuse to deny our claim when she later got seriously ill after the policy was active. Diarrhea is an incredibly common and minor issue in puppies, and it had no relation to the illness or the tests conducted she experienced later. Despite this, Fetch callously labeled it a "pre-existing condition" to avoid paying out.
Their customer service was unhelpful, unsympathetic, and showed zero willingness to work with us or address our concerns. It’s clear they are more interested in profiting from technicalities than helping pet owners when it truly matters.
We are canceling our policy and will never recommend Fetch to anyone. In fact, I’ll be warning every dog owner I know to steer clear of this company. If you value your pet’s health and your financial security, do NOT waste your money on Fetch Pet Insurance. They’ll happily take your premiums but will find any excuse to deny your claims.
Fetch - I pay almost a 1k a year for coverage but nothing is covered
I pay almost a 1k a year for coverage - but most time they deny everything. Beware - even if you vet notes a tear they won't cover anything eye related, they didn't cover the annual teeth cleaning (I pay extra for the wellness benefit), I forgot to upload before 3 months of incident - denied. Super unhelpful, hard to cancel.
Fetch - Scam
Do not waste your money on Fetch. It’s completely useless and offers no help at all. It’s nearly impossible to get in touch with anyone. I spoke with Andrew, who was rude and unhelpful, claiming Banfield wouldn’t provide anything but never bothered to email me with any updates. The customer service is awful, and reaching anyone on the phone is a nightmare. I’ll never recommend Fetch to anyone—avoid it at all costs. It’s a scam.
Fetch Canada - I was told there was no paperwork or…
I was told there was no paperwork or vet exam needed and have requested the transcript of that call, and I have not received any response to my 3 emails. As a result of bad information from the Fetch representative telling me no vet exam or paperwork was needed, and that wasn’t the whole truth I being told no, believing didn’t get paperwork done because I was told there was no paperwork, and now I have a claim, and now the representative tells me I did need paperwork and a specific exam and specific paperwork to be done and my dogs very costly diagnostics and needed surgery costs are denied and not approved. I’m disgusted by this.
Fetch - Terrible Insurance
Terrible insurance carrier.
Fetch Canada - Only about the money
I have witnessed my premiums skyrocket in the past 4 years from $400 to my latest premium of almost $1100, with having NO claims submitted during this time. Beware, run like hell, it’s all about money for this company. I enquired that, because I had no claims submitted, would my premiums offer some sort of a reduction. Answer was a flat no. Pathetic Company
