Liberty Mutual - What should I expect?
A water line burst and flooded my kitchen. I was out of town when it happened (I think) because when I arrived home the floor seeped water when I walked on it.
I filed a claim with Liberty Mutual on Monday. It is now Saturday, and I still don’t have an adjuster assigned to my claim. Is that normal?
I have a water mitigation service helping. They seem to be trustworthy and helpful. Is there anything else I can do to increase my odds of having this go smoothly?
Thanks for any advice you can share.
Liberty Mutual - Liberty mutual....
Has anyone else had issues with them. Recently had hail damage to home and they gave my contractors heck. The adjuster did a half azz job while taking notes for the claim. Contractors came and wanted to add more due to the OBVIOUS DAMAGE that was left off. They denied it. Meanwhile im watching my neighbors get their siding replaced along with their sheds lol. Im between these two homes at that. They also called contractors lying saying photos weren't real and I had to go and prove and sign off that they were. You pay as you should and when its time to use them they nickel and dime you.
Liberty Mutual - Does Liberty Mutual have live agents for chat session?
I am new to Liberty Mutual. Homeowner Insurance in USA
It keeps showing Virtual Assistant, which never route me to a live agent, no matter what I said.
Or how to send a message to customer service?
Liberty Mutual - Auto Insurance - worth shopping?
I’ve had liberty mutual since i leased my Jetta in 2021.
My rate was $145/month until jul 2023, when my coverage renewed and then it increased to $197. Then increased again to $225 in jul 2024.
I called and spoke to an agent to ask about the increase and they said it had nothing to do with my credit and that rates were simply rising across the board…
In 2022 I had a small fender bender with someone while parking, my insurance covered it i think. I never followed up with my insurance to see if they actually filed a claim.
In 2023 my car was side swiped by someone parallel parking and they left a note and their insurance covered the damage and repair. But that was the only accident i had. No speeding tickets, but i did have many parking tickets (my city is brutal).
Now I’m wondering if I should shop around, but seeing other peoples posts im not sure if $225 is even that high rn? My credit score is 759 and I make $72,800 a year before tax.
Liberty Mutual - home insurance non-renewal due to claims
just got non-renewal letter from liberty mutual. The reasons are the 4 claims in the last 3 years. All claims are from the repairs of a music instrument which I added as an addendum to the home policy. The 4 claims are <$1000 in total and the highest one is $400. As there are no duductibles and the liberty mutual customer service did not warn me of any consequence of these small claims, I just made the claims. I have quoted online 2-3 companies and answered "yes" when they ask claim history, they all rejected to provide coverage. Should I negotiate with liberty mutual to continue the policy by droping the instrument addedum? Or move on to a new company by telling them the details of these non-renewals and opt out the coverage of the instrument? With claims totaling less than $1,000, am I shut out of the insurance world?
Liberty Mutual - Advice for non fault accident
I’m confused and need some advice on my current situation. I was involved in a rear end accident, not at fault. Car is drivable with a minor dent in the trunk and paint chipped. The facts:
- car is a 2014 Lexus es 350
- The person at fault has Liberty Mutual
- initial estimate from their in network shop was $2100
- after they began working on it the supplement charges ended up close to $8700 after being in the shop for about a week and having a rental
Today I got a call saying that the car was deemed total loss because cost to repair is over the 75% threshold. I still owe on it the car. What options do I have? Could I take it to another shop to get a lower estimate? There current labor charges were over $5k. I feel like as the victim of this I’m still getting the bad deal by not only losing my drivable car but also potentially paying out of pocket for the gap and rental. What should I do?
Liberty Mutual - Who should I get insurance through?
I have Liberty Mutual I pay $364 I’m getting a new car and they want me to pay $600 any guidance on who I can try to get the new car insured through? It’s a 2021 dodge charger scatpack. i’m 24
Liberty Mutual - Can my insurance withhold a check
NY - Liberty Mutual
Got into a car accident in February.
My dad was late to pick me up from work so I had to take the car to get there on time. Otherwise, I don't usually drive at all. I'm not listed as a driver on his insurance.
Luckily, we had dashcam footage to show it wasnt my fault. The other driver's insurance sent a check for $2,800.00 to our insurance, but our insurance is refusing to give it to us for "lying" about me driving the car.
Are they legally allowed to do this?
Liberty Mutual - Should I replace my roof before hearing back from the insurance company?
I filed a claim with my insurance company (Liberty Mutual) for wind damage to my roof back in early January. Now it's late March, and I still haven’t received a decision. The adjuster is not responding to my calls or emails.
Meanwhile, my roof is in bad shape. I’ve had multiple roofers take a look—some warned that roofing material prices will increase 6–10% after April 1st (I confirmed this independently). I'm torn: should I go ahead and replace the roof now, or wait for the insurance company to respond?
**Background:**
* I live on the southeast of MA, where we had multiple wind advisories and high-wind warnings through Jan/Feb.
* My roof is over 20 years old. After one windy day, I found shingles (including ridge shingles) in my yard. The attic started leaking during rain/snow, so I had to build a makeshift water catchment system.
* I contacted two roofers. One said it looked like clear wind damage and advised filing a claim.
* I filed the claim, and per the insurer's request, I had temporary tarps installed by the same roofer who suggested filing a claim.
* The adjuster and their inspector came, acknowledged the damage, but said it wasn’t wind-related—claiming it looked like "mechanical" damage. They seemed skeptical of the roofer I hired(4.8+ rating with years of view history on google).
* Waited another 2 weeks, they brought in a third-party engineer, who inspected the roof and told me he believed it *was* wind damage and saw no signs of mechanical damage. He submitted his report to the insurer.
* Since then, another week passed. I contacted the engineer, who confirmed the report was sent, but said I’d need the insurance company’s approval to view it( so no access to the report).
It’s now been over 10 weeks. I can’t wait much longer with such a vulnerable roof, especially with prices going up. I understand it’s an old roof, and some might argue insurance shouldn’t cover it. But it was functioning fine until the storm, and I *do* have replacement coverage. (Also worth noting—my premium is over $2,800/year.)
Liberty Mutual - Accident
I have a 2015 Toyota RAV4 and I still owe 12,000 on the vehicle, Just got it last year.
with that being said I was in an accident on 3/6 and their insurance company wants to claim the vehicle as a total loss... my question is what if they don't give me enough to cover the loan? I am pretty stressed because the accident was not my fault at all.
it is going to liberty mutual does anyone have any idea?
