Pets Best - Dissatisfied customer
When you send all the paperwork, and then they lied to me, saying they contacted my vet clinic to get my dogs full history. In fact I had to call my Vet and get my dogs medical history for them to process a claim. I’m not getting paid to do their job, so in return they should reimburse me for doing their.

Pets Best - DO NOT USE PETS BEST
I paid my premiums and our claim was denied on a technicality. It's all too often we are seeing this in healthcare for people as well as with pets. I would absolutely NOT recommend Pets Best.

The amount that I’m paying has gone up and the amount being covered is less. I’m very disappointed in how much I’m paying for insurance but barely covered 40%. The coverage I have is suppose to cover 70-80%
Pets Best - Unethical/Fraudulent Behavior
After a few years of paying for insurance for 2 dogs decided to not renew anymore because was not seeing the benefits for as much as I was paying. So when one dog's insurance came due in October I cancelled but then the company came after me for $11.43 for the whopping multi-pet discount on the other dog's insurance that was paid in July in full for 1 full year and i had to pay or the policy would be cancelled even though it is paid to run through 6/19/25. SO they are charging me for a past bill that was already paid because now there is no longer a multi-pet discount. I can see going foreward on my next bill should I choose to renew only the one dog again for some reason to not get discount but not lets go back on past bills and charge money. Also, if I don't pay this $11.43 by 1/1/25 they will cancel the policy that is paid for up until 6/19/25 exept this backpay of $11.43 they want for the multip-pet discount that occured a couple months after the fact when not continuing insurance with them for the other dog. I filed with BBB, leaving all the reviews I can find and believe mean everyone I come in contact with will hear my experience and will definetly not recommend PETS BEST for insurance. I hope they have the day they deserve!
Pets Best - This insurance is a joke
I filled a claim (over $300) Most of the insurance payment went to deductible and co-payment. I am receiving $15.
We pay over $50 per month. I will be canceling.
Pets Best - Nothing is ever eligible - total waste of money
It doesn't seem to matter how long I've had my policy, all of my claims are always denied for some reason or another. Seems like EVERYTHING is a preexisting condition or not within the timeframe of the policy.... For me it's been a total waste of money. I could have paid for almost everything with the money I've spent in monthly insurance payments.

We are evaluating policies for a dog and Pets Best is half as much as the other Company we are considering. We had questions that could not be answered through their website or sample policy (e.g., what is a “participating Veterinarian” to be used to decrease the waiting period after initial enrollment) , so I tried contacting them via chat, but the system was overloaded and they directed you to the website or to call. I called them, noting that they don’t make their number easy to find on the website and the phone tree hurdles you need to clear to get someone are quite the gauntlet; that alone took 2 minutes 14 seconds. I was on hold for 20 minutes with no end in sight and decided that if it’s this difficult to reach them then we don’t want to do business with them.

Why am I paying for insurance if you don’t cover 70% as stated. You are a scam like most insurance companies. If there isn’t medical history as my cat was healthy for years, why is it necessary to have this? IT DOESNT EXIST!
Pets Best - PetsBest Is NOT There When You Need Them
I recently submitted my first large accident/emergency vet visit claim to PetsBest. I have been a customer with them since 2022. The incident with my pet happened in the days leading up to Christmas, and emotions were high. One of the only things keeping me calm throughout the harrowing (and expensive) ordeal, was the thought that the claim I would be filing was surely going to be reimbursed. To my utter dismay, my claim was fully denied. Upon further investigation, the underwriting company incorrectly categorized my pet's "condition" and subsequently associated it with what they deem to be a "pre-existing condition". This is lazy and unacceptable on PetsBest's part. I now have to spend my time gathering "evidence" for an appeal. To add insult to injury, they're raising my yearly premium. Not sure why I bother paying for pet insurance when I can't count on my claims to be covered. Their customer service is mediocre at best, as well.
Pets Best - I'm sorry I switched to Pets Best
I filed a claim for my 6yo Tibetan Terrier's ear infection which occurred within the 14 day waiting period. It wasn't covered, which I completely understand. However, it is now deemed a pre-existing condition, and any ongoing issues she may have due to this infection or any ear infection from here on out will not be covered. Even if it's in the other ear? Also, Pets Best excludes medicines, which were covered by her previous insurance., Read the fine print. And if you have a question that isn't in the FAQs, be prepared to go through a many call prompts and an extended wait time on the phone.
