Progressive - Is 155 a month liability only insurance on 2 cars too much?
I’ve been paying about 80 a month liability only on one car, added another now it’s 255 this month and 155 from here on out. For context I’m a 24 year old male in NM. I’ve had a good amount of traffic tickets idk how negatively that’s impacting my rates. I have progressive. I always hear about people paying way less than me for liability or the same as I pay for liability they get full coverage for that price. I’d like full coverage but the price would be a lot, if I’m gonna have liability only I’d like it to be nice and cheap. Am I doomed to high prices being a 24 y/o with traffic tickets? Where can I get it cheaper? You always see those insurance commercials claiming super low rates online but I don’t even waste my time figuring it’s bs. I haven’t shopped around in a long time is it worth it to now? Or even better than shopping around, maybe someone here can tell me where and how to get it much cheaper.
Progressive - 21 yr old, single policy, insuring a brand new Cadillac paying $99 a month w/ progressive
I feel like this rate is insane for me being by myself 21 year old male in a brand new $50k plus Cadillac, I do need the snapshot through progressive (absolutely hate that) but I have been told my policy is half what it should be anywhere else. Clean record but why is my policy so low? I have average deductibles and had a third party review my account and said the coverage is right where it should be.
Progressive - Progressive's Snapshot does the opposite of encouraging safe driving, in some cases
I'm so offended by the "hard breaking" beeping, that when I get to 40mph, I've unfortunately started driving through yellow lights and barely miss it turning to red. I've always slowed at yellow lights before Snapshot. I always go the speed limit. Realistically, there's too much traffic in my town to be able to drive safely without hard breaking. Just want to share because if I'd known, I would've opted out of it.
Progressive - Applying out of pocket costs towards a deductible?
Windshield had some severed cracks that started to spider out and had to be fully replaced/recalibrated.
Before having it fixed, I filed a claim with my insurance company (progressive). My claim was denied as I hadn’t yet met my comprehensive deductible and didn’t have glass coverage at the time. I added the glass coverage a couple weeks after the claim was denied to make sure I’m covered in future events.
I finally saved up enough to have the windshield replaced and recalibrated just this week.
My question: Is the amount I paid out of pocket for this replacement eligible to go towards my comprehensive deductible for any future issues?
My biggest concern is that I just don’t want it to look like I’m trying to commit insurance fraud by submitting a second claim for the same thing after just adding the glass coverage.
Appreciate any help.
Progressive - How to reduce car insurance premium on renewal?
My wife and I have car insurance through Progressive. We moved to CO 6 months ago and are paying ~$475 for 2 cars for the first 6 months. However, our premium went up to ~$625 for the next 6 month payment, and that’s after the lump sum payment discount.
No clue why it raised in price because we haven’t gotten any tickets or been in any accidents and I haven’t modified the coverage at all. We did Snapshot and it says we’re going to be saving another $55 by continuing with snapshot, so I can’t imagine our driving patterns have increased our premium by $150. Online, it doesn’t say why it’s increasing.
How can I reduce my premium without changing coverage? When I call and ask why my premium went up, will threatening to leave for another insurance provider force their hand to give me a lower rate? If so, what information should I come prepared with?
Progressive - Insurance deny claim on 2023 Honda
My wife wrecked her 2023 Honda Accord last month when she hit a deer in the road, Progressive came back and said they are not going to cover the car as 1 rear tire was below safe level of tread (not even sure how that possible in 21,000 miles) is she just stuck paying on this totaled car, and the weekly storage fees at the tow lot for eternity?
Progressive - Progressive told me not to worry about the fact that I'm going over my limits by ~$9000....
When the adjuster was going over the fact that their car was going to be a total loss, a 2022 Kia Sorento, that they were valuing at $34,000, $9000 over my limit.
I hit them doing like 7 miles an hour, but it must have done frame damage... I just didn't see them, and t-boned them as they were making a left turn, while I was trying to make a left turn.
They told me that they were going to have them file a claim against their own insurance, and its "progressive versus progressive; so, it's not like they're going to fight it", and to not worry about it.
I'm not about to get blindsided with a $9,000 past due bill after being told to, "not worry about it", am I?
Progressive - Need advice, what should I do?
Due to a pipe backing up, and magically fixing itself, our house flooded. We have been out of our house since the beginning of February. We have ASI thru progressive. Our insurance adjuster said he was going to pay the company directly for mitigation, and then send us a check so we could pay the company for restoration. We have been waiting for weeks on when and how much they are going to pay us. The only time I hear from our adjuster is when I call to let him know that our hotel stay needs to be extended. I’m trying to be patient, but I’ve been trying to reach out and can’t get in touch with him and his voicemail is full. We are living in a hotel with two dogs, and a cat. Our dogs are stressed, and ill, they have been to the vet for this. One is actually there now. We are eating fast food every night, and I just REALLY want to be home. I need to know how much they are paying so I know how much to pull out of our 401k to replace the deductible and appreciation (?), and this process takes time. I have tried to view the claim online and nothing comes up when I put in the information. What do I do from here? I want to be HOME. THANKS!
Progressive - Progressive added someone i don't know
Hello I 31f bought my car 2 years ago and got progressive insurance. I signed up for paperless and honestly I don't go on my policy and look. My insurance increased even though i never changed anything. I look and see they added somebody I don't even know who lives where I used to live. I asked why they did that and I was told my info was sold to a 3rd party and through that information they added her. I never got a notice or gave my permission. Has anybody else gone through that?
Progressive - PTIT
Has anyone done the PTIT program recently? I got a citation for suspended registration in January and my court date is next week. Today I got a post card in the mail saying my case might be eligible for PTIT.
This is my first ticket/citation ever in life so I’m just not sure what to do. My registration was suspended at the fault of my insurance company. In October 2024 I switched from Progressive to Geico and Geico never reported my new insurance to the state so I was unaware I had been driving with suspended registration since about October 2024.
I have since called my insurance company to have them report it and make everything right. My registration has been restored and fees waived. The officer told me on site that if I just call and have them do this I wouldn’t have to appear. I called the court today and they told me I still had to come despite what the officer told me on the stop.
Should I consider PTIT? I think this may be a program only in Atlanta, but I’m not sure. Should I see a judge and provide my documents and hope they throw it out? I just don’t want any points on my license or charges against me so I’m not sure what to do. With PTIT do I pay same day I go to court? How does all this work
