Fetch - Self Insure
I have had this company, Fetch, since day one. Of course, it was a different name 11 years ago, but they are the same players. At the start, it was pretty cheap at 100 percent coverage, no deductible, but honestly, as the years went on, they went from full coverage to a total of 5000 per year at 70% with a 500 deductible...and of course, the premium was lots more. Getting a claim was a nightmare by the time of all the deductibles. I had a check for 17.34 cents, which I kept as a souvenir of my stupidity. Even if I saved $100.00 monthly for 132 months, I would have $13,200.00 in self-insurance. My total return on all vet bills was around $537.00 from the insurance company. Don't do it if you have discipline opening a separate account you use only for your pet. Thanks for reading
Fetch - After being a customer for more than 16…
After being a customer for more than 16 years, I am leaving this insurance company. Over the years they have continually increased premiums, changed terms of services due to underwriter changes, etc. However, the last notice I received was that my premium was going to increase by $257 PER MONTH!! When I reached out to ask for specifics about this huge increase no one responded. I reached out again and got the "canned" response of "our monthly premiums increase based on the pets age, location and claims." I asked for more details and did not receive any. When I requested a report of my claims submitted and paid for the last plan year, I was denied. Additionally, they started denying claims for medications that they had previously pad on. When I pointed this out, they had no response. I will be switching to another insurance company that cares about their customers and pets.
Fetch - Fake reviews
After receiving negative reviews, it seems this insurance company has started posting fake reviews to improve its image and make it appear more professional. This behavior raises serious concerns, especially since, whenever a negative review is posted, they immediately begin posting multiple positive reviews every day—like March 18, March 19, March 20—from people who claim to be satisfied with their service. This pattern suggests that the company may be trying to manipulate its reputation, which only adds to the suspicion that it could be a scam. Pet owners should read the negative reviews to understand the truth about this company, what it’s really about, and the kind of service they provide. Often, these reviews offer a more accurate picture of the company’s practices and how they handle customer concerns.
Fetch - Very Upset
Very Upset, Typical Insurance company, trying use pre-existing condition to get out of paying for tooth extraction when baby teeth didn't completely come out and needed removal. We left Trupanion to come to this company based on reviews, only to be let down.
Fetch - Customer service
I had been on a yearly payment for the policy for my dog. As soon as they billed me in full, I called and asked if I could change to monthly payments. I was told yes. A week later, Alicia left a text in our old chat on their website that I wasn't even aware she had done to tell me they would not refund the money. Not even an email. I don't appreciate being told they would do something, and then they renege.
App sucks...I have a pop up that asks me to complete tasks. I have done this, but the opo up remains on my screen obstructing my ability to view abd use the app.
Fetch Canada - Don't go with, fetch pet insurance
They are really messed,up they have a computer.
Send out emails before, they check to see what's up.
There's many other, pet insurance companys out there.
Check around before dealing, with these people.
Don't say I didn't,warn you in advance.😡
Fetch Canada - Fetch always claim pre-existing and dont pay
Fetch always claim pre-existing or known issue. It's like going on holiday and your child breaks his arm and you get a hefty bill as you have no insurance. You pay it and your child gets better and all is good. You go on holiday again and this time you get insurance and this time your child breaks his foot, but the insurance company don't pay out as they now know the child has "bones". Two different things but treatment and recovery are the same.
Our dog has had VARIOUS skin issues, some are a rash on his groin a few years ago which has never come back, but recently he had bumps on his head and now a skin infection due to scratching and all claims are denied as he had an allergic reaction to something approx 4 years ago. Sick of it
Fetch - I just read another negative review and…
I just read another negative review and am glad there are people who speak the truth. I’ve been quite disappointed with Fetch Pet Insurance. Whenever you reach out with concerns, the response is always the same: “We understand your frustration, but it’s in our terms and conditions.” They offer to help, but in reality, it feels like they don’t really care. After someone posted a negative review, I again noticed an influx of positive reviews right away from users claiming to be extremely satisfied, which feels suspicious given my experience and experience of others.
Fetch - I had a rare positive experience with…
I had a rare positive experience with the former company that became Fetch, Pet Plan, and I had recommended them many times over the 12 years I had my policy; however when my premium (understandably) went up as my cat is older, I did the calculations and determined there was little financial benefit to maintaining the policy, so I called to cancel. I was given a whole pitch about all the ways my cat could get sick and need coverage- I patiently listened and explained my position, again, but when the agent repeated the whole script again, I told her I would check with my vet and see if her argument was worth considering, given his health. Talked to vet and I was correct, so I called a week later to cancel, and explained my entire position again- that I was calling back the second time after considering not canceling, but very firmly requested to cancel my policy. The agent then took several minutes reading the notes from the previous week and his claim history, and then pursued to launch into the exact same script again, and then one more time after I interrupted her that she was repeating a message a had heard now 3.5 times before. It felt manipulative and scammy, disrespectful of my very clear request, and wasted my time on what should have been a simple call, but ended up being over 10 minutes. I will not ever recommend them again.
