Progressive - Car insurance increasing
I’m a newly insured driver (early 20s) and my car is over 20 years old. I only drive my car maybe 10 minutes a day 1-2 times a week due to driving anxiety. My first 6 months with progressive it was $200 a month. Now with my renewal it will be $250 a month. I’m wondering if this is normal, if/who I need to call to discuss why it has increased. I live in a very safe area. I’m new to everything and not sure what to do. From reading it seems mostly everyone’s rates are increasing but mine is still significantly higher. Any help much appreciated, thank you.
Progressive - Is there a time limit for claim payouts?
Got into an accident last September and filed a claim back then when it happened. Since then I’ve been scraping together the money for the (1k) deductible. Now i’m worried progressive won’t pay out because I took too long. Is that a thing or do they still need to pay out for it??
Progressive - Progressive randomly added a driver to my policy making it go from $120 a month to over $600 a month. How?
I noticed my bill in an email was way more than normal and checked my payment history only to find out it’s the second time they billed me for that amount since I missed the first time (I was on vacation).
I called and apparently they added some random guy. I finally figured out it was a guy I had in my car when I volunteered at World central kitchen delivering free food to hurricane victims. This guy rode in my car once for half the day.
They said they emailed me and sent regular mail telling me about the change. I never got them because the vacation. They will not tell me how he got added to my policy and at one point hung up on me and I did not raise my voice and was polite but firm in asking what happened. I still have no answer. And instead of refunding me the money they just paid my bill for the year with the fund they took. I pay monthly normally.
I did not share phone info or have them track my driving with progressive so I cannot understand how they added this dude to my insurance. I remember this guy rode a bike everywhere and since my insurance went up so much I’m guessing he has a bad history.
How did they add this guy to my policy?
I’m planning to change insurance providers any suggestions?
Thanks for any info
Progressive - Tier 3M with Progressive - what does this mean?
I noticed on my renewal for my auto policy with Progressive that I was listed in tier 3M. Google told me this is a high risk tier, but I have been driving for many years, have a clean driving record, and no claims. I am, based on my driving record and insurance history, a low risk driver. Is this a high risk tier? Does anyone know how these tiers are assigned? If I am incorrectly assigned to the wrong tier, how do I fix that?
Progressive - LexxisNexxis won't remove erroneous insurance claims
In 2022 I made a small insurance claim for water damage, $2k, with Progressive. Since then, every time I get quotes for homeowners insurance I get denied, or have to accept high rates, because the Lexxis Nexxus database shows I made 3 claims. A year ago I disputed these several times, and got a letter from Progressive that confirms I only made 1 claim. When I talk to LN, they tell me they've removed the claims, but over a year later I'm still getting denied by insurance quotes and told they are still showing up by the insurance companies. Is there an agency like the CFPB I can submit a complaint to about Lexxus? Or do I need to get a lawyer letter involved? I already have to deal with living in a hurricane prone area with high rates and these higher rates are crippling.

Progressive - Progressive added a person to my policy without my explicit permission
Location: Florida
So I'm frustrated with Progressive because they identified a person who was staying in my home temporarily and added them to my policy. This person has never driving or touched either of the cars on my policy.
They supposedly sent out a mail notice, which I could not find physically or even in my email, where I'm signed up for Informed Delivery and would be able to see any envelope that said it's from Progressive. I looked through my email to see the notices dated months ago stating the persons name and that if I do not contact Progresive by January 16 that they would add them to my policy.
I looked though the details of my policy today and that's when I found that they are listed as a driver. So I've been paying for this person to be on my insurance for the past three months.
I have to wait until Monday to speak with underwriting to figure out what happened and what to do.
My question is whether this practice is even legal in the state of Florida. From what I've seen, a lack of response of a notice does not indicate consent. My explicit consent was not obtained to make changes to my policy. I have not even talked to or seen the person added for months before the changes were completed.
Progressive - Need advice/Help!!!
I’m currently with Prgrssive insurance I star with them about 3 years ago I’m 27yo. First car insurance with them paid $700 for 6 months the following year they bumped out the price for $850+ for 6 months and this year I got $900 for 6 months. No accident zero report at all why they kept bumping my prices? I’m from New Jersey. I’m thinking of switching insurance and your recommendation or what I need to do to pay around $700 for 6 months if possible, thank you!
Progressive - Progressive Denying Responsibility in Rear-End Domino Effect Accident: Reimbursement Delays
Has anyone else dealt with Progressive refusing to take responsibility for a rear-end domino effect accident with liability insurance, and then being told to fix your car first and wait for reimbursement while they wait for other vehicles to file claims
Progressive - Insurance Claim denied
Hello, I bought a vehicle in New York.. had it shipped to California.. Vehicle arrived damaged during transport.. Transport Company stayed at a rest stop, another vehicle/truck backed up and hit Transport Trailer where my vehicle is secured.. Truck at fault denied my insurance claim.. Per the Insurance they don’t have coverage.. I filed a claim against the Transport Company who was transporting my vehicle, Progressive their insurance denied the claim with reason of Transport Company not cooperating with there investigation and unable to verify information that is necessary to confirm valid coverage for the incident.. What’s my next step? any advice? I’d like to avoid filing a claim against my insurance.. also, should I lawyer up? any suggestions? location is California.. Thanks
