Spot Pet Insurance - I have an American Pocket Bully
I have an American Pocket Bully. I rescued from the Humane Society. She had issues I was unaware of. I tried every single thing I could to figure out what was wrong.
Spot Pet Insurance - Still trying to decide if this insurance is worth the cost
About 18 months of coverage and I'm still trying to decide if it's a good deal. I pay to cover our two dogs for their routine veterinary health maintenance and for emergency/sickness care, as well as pharmacy. So far, fortunately, all our claims were for routine preventive care. I've found the reimbursement levels to be disappointing, and the claims review process a bit opaque and sometimes not satisfactory. When our 5 year-old dog went in for routine dental exam + extractions under anaesthesia, the claim was rejected on the basis that a vet had previously indicated a finding of gingivitis, which rendered all his dental care "pre-existing condition". Of course we wouldn't have scheduled dental care based on a finding of gingivitis alone, and anyway that sort of cleaning IS part of routine dental care in a normal healthy dog. So I've come to realize they skimp on reimbursement. I haven't discontinued yet because I hope that perhaps the insurance will prove itself when there are real health emergencies that are costly to address. I'm not holding my breath.
Spot Pet Insurance - Spot pet insurance was dishonest
This company stalked this review and attempted to get my personal information. I say dont like what u see, be better. Dont silence your victims. The pettiness of a billion dollar company. And they edit their reply daily lol. This is spot pet insurance.
Spot Pet Insurance - Expect ALL claims to be denied
A puppy cannot have a preexisting condition. It's a puppy. We literally got our puppy at 8 weeks old and got insurance a month later. It's a healthy little puppy. Moreover, "diarrhea" is not a preexisting condition. It's a "symptom" and it's "caused" from different conditions!! I guess "bleeding" is a preexisting condition too. The good reviews of SPOT must be fake. Sort by one star and do your research there. Every claim you have will be denied.
Spot Pet Insurance - Ridiculous premium increases
My pet insurance went from $39.90 to $50.51 in two years. I barely, if ever, go to the vet. I usually take my cat for her annual check-up. That is a 27% increase in two years. What is their solution, reduce your coverage!! I don't think so. Bye SPOT
Spot Pet Insurance - The reimbursement is only half as much…
The reimbursement is only half as much as I paid.
Spot Pet Insurance - I submitted a claim for my pups ER…
I submitted a claim for my pups ER visit and I was asked to resubmit all of his records for the past year again!! 44 pages of info!! I was told by the first representative that they didn’t have his records which was to me very upsetting since I had to email everything when I opened the policy. I had to call back to get a representative that was very helpful and found his information. She was going yo get my claim looked at again right away.
Spot Pet Insurance - WENT UP ON MY MO
WENT UP ON MY MO. PAYMENT DID NOT KNOW IT UNTIL I HAD PAY IT. WE HAVE HAD VERY FEW CLAIMS. WE ARE ON SOCIAL SECURITY AND CAN NOT AFFORD IT!!!!!! SO EITHER YOU GO DOWN ON PAYMENT OR CANCEL POLICY!
Spot Pet Insurance - If I could give them a ZERO
If I could give them a ZERO, I would.
Spot Pet Insurance - The policy terms and what is covered…
The policy terms and what is covered are not clear. For example flea and heartworm preventive is only covered at $25 per year not per treatment. The website states no waiting period that is wrong. My first claim was denied because they stated my policy was not active yet. I have had 5 claims submitted and only 3 paid. Not worth the money. I will not be renewing my policy. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!
