Homesite Insurance - Homesite Insurance
I bought my condo five years ago and have Homesite Insurance (according to my recent research, this is not good…).
I just filed a claim with them about what my plumber suspects is a faulty toilet wax ring which has caused water damage in the condo unit below mine. Chances are my bathroom will be out of commission for a bit. My question is this: has any one had at least a neutral experience with Homesite? Any tips on how to make sure they do what they’re supposed to? I’m doing my part by brushing up on my insurance policy. Any advice on how to avoid delays is greatly appreciated! I guess I’m just looking for a little hope, lol. Thank you!

workers comp insurance - Workers comp audit after business sold
Hi all, I sold my business last year because it was not a profitable venture. The llc is closed and any remaining money was used to pay off equipment debts. The insurance company says I owe $10k in workers comp insurance for the previous year which they now have sent to a collections company.
The business is closed and the llc is dissolved. Can they come after me personally for something like this?
Clements Insurance - Clements Insurance?
Has anyone used Clements Insurance? I'll be in Bangkok for 6 months to a year and I'm looking for full coverage on expensive personal property. They say they provide that coverage, but saying and doing....
insurance - Doctor listed as in network, months later is in network the follow month of visit
2024 I met my deductible for the first time so I decided to see a sleep doctor. Found the doctor through my insurance portal as in network. Went to my visit, no payment as my insurance is accepted. A few months later I was billed as out of network. I call the doctors billing office and they assure me they are in network, they will resubmit to insurance. I get another bill, doctors billing department reassures me that they are in network, resubmits. Now in 2025 insurance and doctors office confirm that the doctor only became in network for my particular plan 10/1/2024 and my two appointments were in September 2024. Very suspicious.
Is there anything I can do to get out of paying? Everybody was on the same page so I am not sure what happened? I suspect the doctor forgot to renew with my plan and so it went into effect the following month of my visit?
primary insurance - Conflicting information regarding in-network hospital
I am due to give birth end of May. The hospital that my obgyn is partnered/contracted with is where I went on 03/01 because I had a pregnancy scare. I went straight to Labor & Delivery and was there for a couple of hours. The on-call obgyn is the one that saw me.
I have NOT received a bill yet, only an EOB from my primary insurance, stating that the claim was denied. In the EOB- it was stating that the hospital is an out of network facility. However, I’ve spoken to my insurance directly few different times who said the hospital that I went to indeed is an IN-NETWORK facility. Now the last agent I’ve spoken to today told me “address where the service was rendered is confirmed to be outside the network for the facility. Here is what adoress of the facility showing on the claim” and it’s a complete different address than the hospital I went to, like in a whole different state. The first agent that I spoke a couple weeks ago stated the claim type says “outpatient hospital non contracting”. The last time I tried contacting the hospital themselves, the agent was saying I need a bill/statement account number, which I didn’t and still don’t have because I was never sent a bill as of today and he said to wait until I get a bill. It’s been over a month and I still haven’t received a bill from the hospital from when I went to 03/01. I was going to explain my situation and how I still haven’t received a bill but the billing office is now closed.
I do have secondary insurance but they didn’t even receive a claim from hospital, which I am assuming they didn’t even bill my secondary.
I’m just so confused and overwhelmed! Does this sound like the hospital submitted the claim incorrectly?
Texas Farm Bureau Insurance - Personal Items
My spouse was in a not at fault accident that resulted in being in the hospital for two weeks. Since I had zero info on the other driver and the police report would take awhile I decided to open a claim with my insurance the same day of the accident while I was at the hospital.
On the call, which I recorded, my intake adjuster stated they would pack up and ship our personal items from the vehicle and not to worry about it, just focus on the spouse getting better. There is no need to go to the impound lot.
Fast forward two weeks and I asked my total loss adjuster where our stuff was and they said they have no notes from the intake adjuster to pack anything up and they'll make a note to do so now.
Long story short, they cannot find our stuff nor can they find photos of the third party inspection of the vehicle after two months of back and forth. They said they don't pay for lost personal items and if I want the $1600 in items reimbursed I would need to open a homeowners claim and prove they were in the vehicle.
While I understand this may be standard operating procedure, I told them I don't think it's right that we are being punished with a new claim after the intake adjuster failed to take due care and ship our items and how can we prove items were in a vehicle if they told us not to worry about it and no need to go to our vehicle in the impound lot while themselves are unable to find photos. I provided the recorded call and requested a supervisor, now my own insurance won't respond and has ghosted me.
Shouldn't my insurance be held responsible if they offered to ship our items and failed to do what they said which sounds like negligence? Should I request this from the at-fault insurance company instead? Would filing a department of insurance complaint do anything?

Nationwide Insurance - Nationwide Insurance - RIP OFF!
Right after the hurricane, my car insurance with Nationwide went up to $220/mo (was $150). They told me it was the best rate they could get for me...yeah right! With a late fee of $30, I have been paying $250/mo! I just went with progressive and am back down to $150/mo with good coverage...200 deductible, car rental, roadside, etc. Nationwide was a total rip off.
ISO insurance - Need help
Hi
I’m an international student currently in the U.S. on a STEM OPT extension. Recently, I was admitted to the hospital due to severe pain, which turned out to be a kidney stone. I had to undergo surgery, and now I’ve been hit with a $50,000 medical bill.
I have ISO insurance, but they’re refusing to cover the charges, saying it’s a pre-existing condition—even though this was the first time I ever experienced it and didn’t know about it before. As a student, I don’t have a high income, and this amount is overwhelming for me.
I’m looking for any advice or guidance on what I can do to get help with this bill—whether it’s negotiating with the hospital, financial aid, or any legal options. Any direction would mean a lot right now.
Thank you so much.
old insurance company - Suspended Permit, Insurance Issue, Court Coming Up Lawyer or Public Defender?
So a state trooper pulled me over the other day because my license plates were suspended. Turns out my old insurance company didn’t notify the MVA when I switched providers, so the plates got flagged.
The trooper asked for my license — I only have a learner’s permit — and I handed it over, along with my passenger’s license since he has a full one. When the trooper came back, he told me that my permit was suspended and then took it from me.
I went to the MVA and paid a $400 fine for the plates, and while I was there, they told me my permit was suspended because I never completed a Driver Improvement Program (DIP) from two years ago. Thing is — I actually did complete it.
I called the driving school, and they admitted they forgot to submit the completion to the MVA. They basically just said “sorry,” but now I’ve got a court date, and the letter says there’s a possibility of jail time.
Now I’m freaking out. I’ve got about $1,000 to my name. Should I try to hire a lawyer, or go with a public defender? I really don’t want to risk going to jail over something like this.
