Your pricing definitely wasn’t clear and your customer support wasn’t helpful. We had an emergency and expected a lot more of you and only saved a small portion. It’s not worth the premiums I pay every month.

I have had Trupanion for my pets for over 10 years, and more and more recently claims are being denied that should be covered.

There have been several times a deductible was charged to my account that should not have been. I’ve also seen procedures listed on Trupanion’s invoices that were not correct. There have been many times I have had to wait for a payment to be processed. Also, I have to wait tooooo long for a correction to be resolved.

I love that I had your 30 day trial. Helped me lots with my pups broken leg. But I requested multiple times for option packages so I can continue the insurance and maybe add another pup. I got no response!! My trial is running out .

they are very exspensive

So my 8-year-old girl that has been insured with trupanion for almost 8 years recently had a bout of endometritis. On the claim form I claimed endometritis as she has had that a few times in the past. After this claim, her deductible of $400 would have been met. Trupanion changed the condition to " discharge" instead of endometriosis which then they could again charge me my full deductible of $400. That's how they get around not paying people because their deductibles are based on condition not per year. My invoice was for $700 and Trupanion paid me $100.Watch out for this company. They used to be really great but they have changed from an ethical upstanding company to one that scams you. In addition, they say that their website has been upgraded but it barely works and their owner's portal does not work at all!

So trupanion unlike other providers, issues deductibles based on condition not per year. So my dog that has been insured with Trupanion for 8 years and only has a few minor claims.She had a bout of endometritis which she had a few years ago as well. I found it frustrating you denied my claim and I had to go through the appeals process. On top of that, no one even contacted me to speak about the decline. If you're going to decline a $3000 treatment, you better talk to me to explain what's going on. I am reasonable satisfied by the appeals process but still feel you did not cover enough

Trupanion misrepresents itself as they boast about all the reasons why their premiums are so much more expensive than others. meanwhile they deny claims for every possible reason. they use every comment written down by a vet to tie in to any possible pre existing condition. so my PERFECTLY HEALTHY CAT was denied claims because they said he was anorexic. my cat never didn’t eat. never lost weight. they said the charts read he was lethargic and stressed. which they said could relate to issues with eating disorders. so he didn’t have a condition. they just linked every symptom to as many conditions that it may be. there were over 20 conditions they wouldn’t cover because of ridiculous symptoms. sneezing was linked to possible respiratory so no respiratory tests covered. plaque of a tooth’s they said is linked to periodontal disease so no teeth related claims. the list went on and on. abdominal because of the possible eating issues. urinary because he peed outside of his box once. so no urinary test covered. Trupanion is the biggest scam that makes health insurance companies for people look reasonable. Do not give your business to these con artists. I had them for 2.5 years and they never paid a single claim.

The company didn’t charge me for July payment. So I called to alert them. Now they are charging twice in one month without any notification. I did call. Twice. Your people said it was an issue with your payment processing people. I understand crap happens but alert your customers to expect two charges in one month
