Progressive - Am i getting quoted too much? 484$ a month for minimum liability coverage
Hi! I'm 19 and I recently bought a car and got my license. I called up progressive for car insurance since most of my family is with them and they said that I would have to pay around 484$ a month for minimum liability coverage. This surprised me because the first time my siblings enrolled with them they paid a little over 200$ and that wasn't too long ago. My car isn't new either, it's a 2007 Honda Pilot. If anyone knows any better insurance companies who aren't as expensive please let me know!
Thin Blue Line Benefits - Thin Blue Line Benefits and Live Freely
FYI
Thin Blue Line Benefits now has a company called Live Freely Health contacting members about claims. I got an email and then called them. TBL did not send out a message stating this would happen. The rep at Live Freely said they are just letting people know the claims will be processed. I personally call it "buying time" and would not give them any personal information.
The Hartford - The Hartford
This past Sunday, while watching a movie at a theater, someone ran over brand new my motorcycle in the parking lot. Thankfully the person who did, told an employee and waited for me. He gave me all of his information. I filled a claim with his insurance, The Hartford and am a little worried about it now. Within a day of filing the claim, they have switched the adjuster and the new adjuster told me, “honestly, I don’t know. I’m not going to ghost you…” when I asked for a timeline on them getting back to me. Are they just going to give me the run around?
Montana condo policy - Excavation covered?
Townhouse covered by condo insurance. Pipe in the ground(HOA property) breaks, excavation needed to determine the cause and replace the pipe. Insurance denied repairing the pipe due to wear and tear which is understandable,, but shouldn't they pay the excavation which was needed to determine the cause? There was other damage that was covered. Montana condo policy. Back up water/sewer damage coverage on the HOA policy.
Bank of America - Bank of America small business card utter nightmare!
Fraudulent charges trying to get them resolved since October. Last month I finally got them resolved and they sent me a letter about the claim. Closed the account, 0 balance. Today they took back a credit for 78.20 and now the account shows a balance even though it is closed I cannot pay it! Already brought in CFPB!
Progressive - Auto insurance recommendations - for someone with less than one year driving history in the US
I currently have Progressive but they just jacked up rates without even a "hey we are going to raise your premium from next month".
Erie Insurance is highly recommended but they seem to have strict criteria such as 3 year residency status (which is what an agent told me) hence am looking for other options.
I am looking for good customer service - does not give you the run around when you need them. Decent prices. I am not looking for the lowest rates but at the same time something that is fair. And transparent. I kinda feel cheated by Progressive who slyly raised the rates.
Am based in PA if that matters.
Any suggestions welcome. Thank you.
USAA - $500 policy increase in MA
My policy just renewed this month, my overall policy went from $2300 to over $2800. I had an accident back in 2023, very minor rear end tap. (I was at fault) the other party didn’t bring litigation against me until 2 months before the statute of limitations went up this year in april. My insurance company did pay out the settlement, and I was told I did not have a surcharge from this incident, and that if my insurance was to go up from this accident it would have happened in 2023 when the accident occurred. My insurance company (USAA) informed me of a state-wide increase being put into effect and that this increase on this renewal was only a portion of the overall increase. I’m just very confused, and unsure how it would increase that much if it wasn’t from this prior accident, and my driving record outside of it is totally clean. Been with this ins company for 6 years now, and I don’t want to switch as i’ve enjoyed it thus far but feel like I have to now that i’m being priced out of it. anyone in massachusetts have any insights?
GEICO - Could separate auto policy for 17F reduce premium?
I currently have an auto policy with only my teenage daughter (17F) after removing my STBX from the policy, but I feel like the premium for my car is higher than it should be and I'm wondering if there are any ways to reduce the premium. I am a 40M with a very clean driving record, my daughter had a claim last October where she hit a fire hydrant and the repair was \~$10k or so (no meaningful property damage to the hydrant). I drive a 2021 Tesla Model 3 and she drives a 2017 Audi A4 that her grandmother gave her. Total monthly premium with GEICO is $548 for my car and $366 for her car. I believe the average Model 3 insurance rate in Colorado should be closer to $300/month and I'm just trying to think of ways to lower my premium. Is it possible to separate policies and save money if I make it so that she can't drive my car and doesn't need to be insured for that? Any advice or ideas are greatly appreciated!
Liberty Mutual - Liberty mutual....
Has anyone else had issues with them. Recently had hail damage to home and they gave my contractors heck. The adjuster did a half azz job while taking notes for the claim. Contractors came and wanted to add more due to the OBVIOUS DAMAGE that was left off. They denied it. Meanwhile im watching my neighbors get their siding replaced along with their sheds lol. Im between these two homes at that. They also called contractors lying saying photos weren't real and I had to go and prove and sign off that they were. You pay as you should and when its time to use them they nickel and dime you.
National Debt Relief - Working with National Debt Relief, Now Being Sued.
I know I'm calling them first thing in the morning to talk with an attorney, but is there any advice for a situation like this? I owe them just under 14k, they personally gave me a settlement and I emailed it to them (5k settlement) but National Debt Relief never finalized on anything, and now they are suing me.
