Have an issue with your insurance?
Let everyone know!
Insurance companies are constantly reviewing us. Are we too old? Do we live in the wrong place? Is our credit score high enough? Well, now it's time to turn the tables. Do you charge too much? Will you pay my claim quickly? Is your coverage worse than it seems? We can review you too.

Trupanion - The whole issue of starting a new claim…
The whole issue of starting a new claim every time my veterinarian calls the condition diarrhea and a new deductible is more than frustrating. It feels dishonest. The dog has chronic diarrhea well controlled with medication….. we have tried to determine a cause. If the claims adjuster would look at the record this would be clear. Then am told “we don’t go back that far because diarrhea is a symptom not a condition”. Apparently they are reviewing this but after at least six calls with different people and my veterinarian having to resend the dogs entire medical record ( he is 9 years old!). Prior claims were handled in a satisfactory manner but not this condition. Come live at my house for a while and experience living with a dog that has intermittent diarrhea then you may have some empathy
MetLife - The app is easy to use and easy to…
The app is easy to use and easy to submit claims, especially after a recent updates in the past year. Most of my experiences with customer service have been positive. The turnaround time is sometimes slow on claims , I have had issues with a few claims that should’ve been covered, and the price going up significantly in the past year- these are the reasons I am not giving a higher rating

MetLife - I reviewed this company last year and…
I reviewed this company last year and wanted to give an update/experience for comparison. I was paying the monthly insurance premium, submitted vet bills and received zero dollars back. Someone recommended Fetch pet insurance so I swapped over. Went to the vet submitted the claim and received the full amount back. What a huge difference. Even when Fetch said they needed additional paperwork they did the work and reached out to the vets office to get what they needed. Hope this helps anyone out there looking for pet insurance. My vets office said that Lemonade was another good one. Steer clear of MetLife pet insurance. All I did was lay money out at the vets and for the monthly premium and saw nothing in return.

CANCEL APPLICATION. DO NOT PROCESS OR CHARGE CREDIT CARD.
Fetch - BEWARE Fetch Insurance
BEWARE: Fetch Pet Insurance!!
1. Take forever to review a claim
2. Very hard to get accurate answers from customer service
3. Find every excuse not to pay
4. Take forever the small % they do finally pay
5. Fetch = not worth it, shop around
( Fetch premiums increase frequently)
Healthy Paws - Non stop premium increases without corresponding increase in value/services covered
Continued payment increases with excuses that costs have gone up in states, claims paid out exceed revenue brought in, and generally tone deaf customer service. No option to get exams covered either (for illnesses or injuries). Just the actual medication and any procedures. Other insurance companies are cheaper and have good ratings.
Last increase was 30% year over year!
Embrace - Apparently Embrace does not deal with certain emergency rooms for your pet. I’m finished.
I submitted my first claim after almost 2 years of Embrace Pet Insurance and they told me the emergency hospital. I took my dog to with a $400 bill. They don’t deal with that hospital. What the heck is that all about? I am definitely switching insurances and if you were smart, you’d read the fine print. I’m done.
Lemonade - “Insurance That Doesn’t Suck”? Think Again.
“Insurance That Doesn’t Suck”? Think Again.
Lemonade proudly markets itself as “Insurance That Actually Helps” and “Insurance That Doesn’t Suck” — but my experience has been exactly the opposite.
I purchased pet insurance to protect my dog, Ellie, and instead was met with a series of frustrating, borderline absurd claim denials that make it clear this company is far more committed to avoiding payouts than supporting pet owners.
Ellie needed surgery for a fractured tooth — something explicitly stated in their policy as covered if caused by an injury. Yet Lemonade denied the claim, claiming the fracture was due to periodontal disease, with no definitive evidence to back that up. When I challenged this and offered to provide clarification from my vet, I was told the record “didn’t support” coverage — unless I personally tracked down and resubmitted more proof. So much for help.
Separately, Ellie’s eye and ear infections were denied as “pre-existing” based on seasonal allergy notes from months before — even though there's no way to prove these new conditions were caused by the same issue. According to Lemonade, any past symptom means nothing remotely similar will ever be covered again. That’s not reasonable — it’s predatory.
Lemonade’s entire process feels engineered to deny coverage through technicalities and generalizations. It’s exhausting, disingenuous, and absolutely does not live up to the promises in their branding.
I’ve canceled my policy, and I’ll be warning others: If you're looking for pet insurance that actually helps — Lemonade isn’t it.
Embrace - First claim was easy
First claim was easy, her first set of shots. This one which was for a $550.00 emergency service has yet to be resolved since 6/14. Horrible customer service by a gentleman I spoke with when I called. Listening should be a key component of service not arguing. This procedure was performed by an emergency clinic but they are still asking for records from the primary. All paperwork has been submitted numerous times diagnosis with detailed info, what procedure was performed and invoice, but still no resolution. A waste of time and energy for $45.00. I never write bad reviews but will end up cancelling my policy. Really disappointed. This claim has lasted longer than a month.
