Have an issue with your insurance?
Let everyone know!
Insurance companies are constantly reviewing us. Are we too old? Do we live in the wrong place? Is our credit score high enough? Well, now it's time to turn the tables. Do you charge too much? Will you pay my claim quickly? Is your coverage worse than it seems? We can review you too.
It's Covered - Waste of time!
I was directed to Covered through a moving concierge program. I spent almost 2 hours on the phone with the first agent, while he checked for both auto and home insurance for our move from FL to GA. He quoted me a great price on both policies using Progressive, and then said he'd be back in touch on 3/12/24 to firm things up. He never called back. I called them and got a different agent, who put all the items together that the first agent had, and then asked for our home inspection report. He sent that to Progressive and they rejected us for home insurance. That report was for us to negotiate a better deal on this house. It's an old house and has had a couple of leaks that were repaired at the time and never a problem again. I called Traveler's immediately and got great policies on both home and auto - no inspection report requested. I spent well over 4 hours with agents from Covered and got only more worry and dread.
Figo Pet Insurance - I put a claim in for my puppy because…
I put a claim in for my puppy because she injured her paw and it was denied. The date was last year.
Figo Pet Insurance - Buyer beware, don’t buy unless your pup is in pristine heath.
They find many and varied reasons not to pay. I don’t even send in claims because I get so upset when they wiggle out. This is illegal with humans but going on in full force with pet insurance. It is a scam to drain your wallet with fancy suggestions that someday something may go wrong that they may consider paying. I am considering dropping it all together. Having difficulty figuring out why I pay, except I want everything customary for my pup.
Figo Pet Insurance - Unhappy with the policy.

Figo Pet Insurance - Very confusing
Very confusing. Your breakdown of what is covered is confusing. I thought the breakdown is what I pay, not the maximum you'll pay in a year.
Healthy Paws Pet Insurance - Caution: Every Aging Dog Pet Owner Should Know THIS
We tried two separate pet insurances when we got our beagle puppies in 2012 (Trupanion) and 2014 (HealthyPaws). I am based in Texas. Today, we pay $127 a month for Trupanion (for the older dog) and $208 a month for Healthy Paws. Our recent premium increased $80 per month this year "due to our zip code" which apparently isn't impacted at Trupanion. I've considered dropping coverage but with my dog's age now, it would be very difficult to start over elsewhere. Ironically, I went with Healthy Paws on a friend's recommendation. She also regrets Healthy Paws and went through a different insurance provider (Nationwide Pet Insurance) when they recently got a puppy. It's beyond frustrating (and unethical) what they do to their customers. LOOK ELSEWHERE!
Figo Pet Insurance - Claims are handled quickly.
No negative issues.
Figo Pet Insurance - Minimal coverage
Minimal coverage. The only reason I keep the policy open is my fear of something terribly expensive happening to my dog.
