ASPCA - Good
Its alright.
ASPCA - Why pay for insurance when they denied everything
We have turned in a claim to this company they have conveniently denied our claim. But nobody can tell us why and they tell me there’s no one to speak with about the denial if there was a lower score I would give it to them
ASPCA - I had a claim recently
I had a claim recently, 3 times sent for a refund but no response yet 3 weeks passed.
ASPCA - DO NOT RECOMMEND!!
DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! This insurance will find any way to deny a claim and won’t give you a reason why! WASTE OF MONEY!!! If you are with VCA try their insurance instead, it covers way more and it’s the same cost!
ASPCA - FLAT OUT LIED/Poor Claim Processing
I had a claim processed on 2/11 and was waiting for reimbursement to be deposited. I called ASPCA on 2/11 to find out the status and was told reimbursement was processed on this date and will be deposited via method of payment on file. I called again today and was told check is in the mail. Rep was unapologetic and unconcerned. I was flat out LIED to...NEVER AGAIN!!!
ASPCA - Very disappointed
Very disappointed. I was excited to find a reasonably priced pet insurance at ASPCA. I have a rescue dog that I got at the end of May 2024. In June of 2024, I took him to the vet (prior to my ASPCA insurance policy) because he had been stung by a wasp near his eye. The eye swelled shut. The vet said he had an allergic reaction to the sting. Now, several months later he started having skin issues on his neck. After repeated vet visits, the skin issues were resolved. The vet (different from the first vet due to my relocation) said the issues were caused by a seasonal allergy. ASPCA denied my claim for the skin issues, citing "an existing condition". So apparently the insect bite reaction and the seasonal allergy are the exact same thing. They also said that ANY claim regarding an allergic reaction will be denied going forward. So that's how they can be so reasonably priced, by denying all claims. Thanks ASPCA.
ASPCA - Once again this insurance continues to…
Once again this insurance continues to fail when it matters most. I had to bring my cat in for a cardio exam, without it he can't get a dental appointment because the dentist won't risk putting him under otherwise. Fine, sure, can't do anything about it but bite that bullet. At least I have pet insurance, surely that will help! Ah but of course. Claim denied in full, not even a partial coverage or anything put towards deductible. This insurance charges more every year and covers less and less. Absolutely trash, won't be renewing.
ASPCA - SCAM do not waste your money or think they will have your back when you need them.
SCAM. I have paid into my cats insurance $50/ month for 4 years and then they without telling me have been charging me $80 a month since last November. In the 5 years that I have been responsible and had my cat insured, I have never submitted a claim until this month when she was diagnosed with cancer. In comes the first bill for over $600 appointment and ASPCA will pay $20 and stand by their BS reasoning. Do NOT waste your money, but more importantly - do NOT have a false sense of security instilled thinking that the insurance you have paid into for years and years will actually be there for you when you need them.
ASPCA - Worst pet insurance on market
This is the worst pet insurance I ever had. Their billing dept is incompetent! My previous company stopped selling pet insurance. Choosing ASPCA was a mistake. I cancelled when one pet died and canceled the other one in January 2025. They have just drafted my account for both pets yet again even though one died in Sept 2024. I will spend another 30 minutes on the phone today trying to get them to understand! Uggg
ASPCA - This is a racket
This is a racket, don't do it! Put aside the amount of money you would spend on this pet insurance into a different account. I have paid close to 30K to ASPCA Pet Health Insurance over 14 years and have only been reimbursed $3809. Kept telling myself it was "peace of mind". You are way better off setting up a bank account. You could rescue and help hundreds of animals with the money you would save!
