Hey all! Back in 09/03/2024 I had gotten into a car crash without insurance. I am a 20yo Corrections officer, and when the crash happened I hadn’t got my first check yet, so I didn’t have any money to get insurance then. The car in front of me ( a businesses car) slammed on their brakes going 50, and my bald tires slid my small civic into their bumper. We both got out, and inspected the damage, there was no dents, and barely a scratch on the other guys bumper. I told him I didn’t have insurance, and he said, it looks like nothing happened so he should be fine, but because of the crash detection he’d have to tell his boss about it. Ever since I haven’t gotten a single piece of mail, Email, etc, about the accident. Today I opened a piece of mail, that stated bell subrogation services were trying to get me to pay 2989$ for an accident that 100% didn’t cost that much to repair. What should I do? I know nothing about stuff like this and have well under 2989 in assets and cash on hand.
