Dutch Pet Insurance - Difficult to get to talk to vet.
Asked about 50 questions after I subscribed. Explained the symptoms at least 5 times, asked to talk to a vet, but not connected about 5 times. I am asking for my subscription back and to be reimbursed. They may be good for prescriptions, but certainly not service. Website very confusing.
Dutch Pet Insurance - Why is it I can never sign in
Why is it I can never sign in. This is the third time I needed a vet and can't get into the website. When you click on contact us..no one responds to the email. Total BS. I really should get my money back. Someone should provide a phone number to get ahold of customer support.
Dutch Pet Insurance - Go elsewhere or be prepared to be gouged
It’s a nice idea - vet seemed fine - but they try to up charge you on everything and require you to buy things you don’t need at exorbitant rates by bundling them in ways that you cannot unbundle them. Be careful when you order anything - they will try to trick you into “subscribing” monthly to things you don’t need. Be sure to read carefully uncheck all their prefilled boxes. Overall I’m so irritated by there skeevy business practices I would not use them again.
Dutch Pet Insurance - The veterinarian is AMAZING!
The veterinarian, Dr. Gonzales, was AMAZING! HOWEVER, after easily receiving the notes, treatments and prescriptions... I decided to add the EMERGENCY Insurance but before checking put I decided I wasn't going to get the insurance at this time. When trying to remove it from the cart, unlike the prescriptions, the insurance did not have a "REMOVE" button. No biggie, call customer support. Time and time again, I was put on hold and the call was disconnected. I've also written customer support to no avail. So now, I'm leaving a review. I hope this is just a glitch and I can re-review it and upgrade it to 5 stars!
Dutch Pet Insurance - Went months back and forth with no meds
Was told my account would be canceled after an absolutely awful experience that made it take months for me to get medication for three dogs and a cat last year. Now I received and email about changing my payment method so they could renew it again. So not only did they have awful customer service throughout they also took months to get my prescriptions filled and continued to charge for all of this. To smooth it over they offered me a 30% discount on my next order. Why it would be assumed I’d trust them with my pets health again is beyond me.

Won't sell me my pets rx drugs if I don't pay for continued unnecessary monthly vet consultantaions. My dog was prescibed ongoing meds they cut of medication subscriptions which I pay for seperate to the vet consultantaions which I paid for a month as that is all I needed. Seems pretty scummy to cut off my dogs meds and then make me pay for services I don't need. Seems like profit comes before the welfare of your pets at Dutch. Not a good way to practice veterinary medicine.

The doctors are great it's the time it takes to get the medicine my dog needed a antibiotic it took about five days the prescription was written for a certain quantity and i received less when I inquired I was told they would expedite the rest of the meds days went buy and I got another email saying that the order would be partially refunded but I had to text the doctor to get more meds I did that and the doctor sent out the prescription I placed my order a on August 11 it is now the sixteenth and they are telling me it won't be till the 22nd this is total bs my dog needed the correct amount the first time and all I'm getting is double talk Shame on you for inflicting pain on my dog because you are so inept

I like the idea of the service. I don't like the choices to expedite my order. It's $50 for overnight or nothing. So 1 day or 8 really?
Dutch Pet Insurance - $400 at the emergency vet later…
My cat had an eye infection. The vet I spoke to stopped replying to my messages even though I messaged her the minute it got worse. The medication delivery was then delayed even after I paid a $25 premium to overnight it. I had to take my cat to the emergency vet and ended up spending $400. Their customer service didn’t reply to me until TWO days after that ER trip. Their phone like is disconnected. This was a preventable emergency. They don’t ship medications out on weekends, they charge you to transfer the scripts to other pharmacies, their medications are more expensive than Chewy and their customer service doesn’t give a damn. We were in the pet ER for two hours while my cat meowed in pain. Don’t use it, just take your pet to the vet and save both of you some grief.
Dutch Pet Insurance - Missing meds for over a month …
I was hoping this would be a helpful way to get my dogs medicine but it has been a massive let dow. I had the vet video call back in July. It is now August and my dog has not recieved any of his meds that have been prescribed to him. You can’t call, you can only text or send email. And the responses are days after and it sometimes they are automated! I would not recommend this company for anyone’s pet.
