Farmers Insurance - Car totaled July 4th
Alright here we go. So July forth I was going down a back road (rainy) as I cut the corner I see this Tahoe coming at me at a 90 degree angle (she lost control) and just smashes into me. I didn’t have insurance on this car I had it’s one of my cars I don’t drive often, but with all the pictures and you can clearly see it’s her fault farmers insurance is still denying that’s it her fault I’m at total loss of words (no dash cam) I’m not going down without a fight or a payout so I’m consulting a injury lawyer but is this how it really goes? The pictures her car is just layed smashed into my car and they say it wasent her fault?
Farmers Insurance - Homeowners liability coverage
I am trying to understand my Farmers insurance homeowners liability coverage and farmers isn’t being helpful at all. Basically what happened is while my wife and I were out of the country, my child accidentally kicked my sprinkler line near the drip system and broke it. Long story short, it flooded a room in my neighbors home over about a 7 day period. They just kept mopping it up and hoping it would stop. I’m not sure why they let it go on for that long but they did. Anyway it ruined some of the floor and caused some moisture to settle into the drywall. It was about a 15 ft x 15 ft area of water damage. Will my homeowners liability insurance cover the water damage in this situation?
Farmers Insurance - Anyone else had problems with Farmers/Foremost Insurance not paying claims?
I've been a loyal Farmers/Foremost customer for 10 years, claim free. But when I had interior drywall damage, they wouldn't cover anywhere near the cost of the repairs.
I gathered three quotes, but the Farmers Rep said they were all "unreasonable" and suggested I keep looking for cheaper options. My rep told me he basically punches numbers into a computer, and that spits out the estimate. He doesn't actually talk to contractors, just does "what the computer tells him".
Anyone else experienced something similar with Farmers or other insurance companies? If so, open to sharing about it?
Farmers Insurance - Should I Counter This Lowball Insurance Offer?
Got into a car accident last year (rear-ended). Sent a demand letter to Farmers Insurance asking for:
* **$4,523** in gross medical expenses (I attached the detailed reports/receipts for them)
* **$33,000** for pain and suffering
* **$6,295** for diminished value (they said this will be handled separately)
Yesterday, they offered **$7,823** for my bodily injury claim. Seems like they’re barely covering my medical bills and throwing in a small amount for pain and suffering (10% of what I requested).
Should I counter? If so, should I slightly lower my initial demand (say $25K for pain and suffering) to show I’m negotiating in good faith, or should I stay firm on the original amount? Has anyone been through this process without an attorney and successfully negotiated a higher payout?
Btw, when my vehicle was in the shop, I gave the shop the insurance's contact info and the insurance paid the shop.
Looking for advice on next steps before I respond. Any input is appreciated!
