Fetch Canada - Avoid Fetch Pet Insurance at All Costs!
I brought my cat to Canada last year and decided to insure her with Fetch. They didn’t require any documents when I signed up, so I assumed everything was straightforward. Last month, my cat developed skin allergies and needed treatment, which included a vet visit and vaccinations. When I submitted the claim, Fetch suddenly asked for her previous medical records.
Since she hadn’t seen a vet here in Canada before this, I provided her medical records from my home country. Fetch didn’t accept those records and denied my claim, refusing to cover the cost of her treatment.
This company seems to find any excuse to deny claims. If they had needed earlier records from Canadian vets, why didn’t they ask when I enrolled? The whole process feels like a scam. If you’re considering pet insurance, I strongly recommend avoiding Fetch!
Fetch Canada - Removes services, increases pricing
My dog is now 11 years old. My insurance started at about $900/ year which I got when oliver was 3 months old. I've had 2 or 3 claims over the years which wasn't even fully covered even though I had 100percent then.
They have since reduced my coverage to 90 percent, increased deductible, removed the death benefit I had and drastically increased prices.
The last price increase I was told about was up to $2400/year. And this year I just noticed the increase again to $3925/year. I wish I would have noticed it 6 months ago as the last 2 payments went unnoticed as I wasn't looking at my credit card statement close enough.
$4000 per year is rediculous. I guess that's how they get you to cancel when your dog is older.

The amount of the repayment for our dog spay surgery was about 15 % of the cost! This insurance is not worth the cost!
Fetch Canada - Horrible coverage
Horrible coverage - I paid the monthly fee uploaded all documents that were required. I had two claims - and they denied both based on not having a physical exam on my dog 12 months prior. I got the dog given to me by a elderly family member who passed and had no history on her or even knew which vet she had taken her too...as soon as I got her I took her for check up to the vet where they found some dental issues (they want to call it pre-exisiting) how is someone supposed to get coverage on older dogs? They want to be in the business of helping dogs - well they suck at it. I paid a monthly fee for literally nothing, I cancelled my policy and going with a different provider.
Not worth the headache dealing with FETCH!

Absolute nightmare to deal with. They don’t read documents just instantly deny the claim then it takes 30 days to reassess then they came back and denied it again because they didn’t read the dates or notes and said it will take another 30 days to reassess! Good luck talking to a real person it’s all bots
I strongly advise folks NOT to go with FETCH Pet Insurance. I ended my policy with FETCH due to their unethical practises. FETCH diagnosed my pet with a pre-existing condition that my pet doesn't even have, as an excuse to deny my claim ! FETCH's actions were contrary to the Veterinarian's medical records for my pet !
I will do my absolute best to put the word out there (in Social Media) in hopes that folks don't get taken advantage of by FETCH Pet Insurance.
Fetch Canada - Absolutely awful experience
Absolutely awful experience. Anything I’ve tried to put through for both of my animals has been a nightmare.. I got email saying I don’t have a file with them today. Got an email asking me for information from my other insurance company. I don’t have another insurance company.. They don’t seem to know who I am. I get told to submit information and they review it and they rejected it. I’m just confused. I do not like this company whatsoever. I can’t give it a high rating whatsoever either.. I would use a different organization if I were you. When it was a mistake, it took over two months to fix and over 20 phone calls. Confirm me it was fixed and in the end, not getting the claim reviewed so far every kind of put through from my one dog has been denied for some reason or other, they seem to find things and make up things so they were a bit of a joke.. The front end people are sweet, but not very bright. The back of people Don’t seem to connect with the front line people whatsoever or read the notes I give his company a zero rating. If you $162 a month in this company has cost me more than I could ever spend on the dogs just crazy. Add a different organization in the past with mother animals never had this problem.
Fetch Canada - I am beyond disappointed with Fetch Pet…
I am beyond disappointed with Fetch Pet Insurance. Your lack of integrity and compassion is absolutely appalling. As young professionals with limited income, we trusted Fetch to protect our beloved puppy in case of illness, but instead, they left us with a $1,600 vet bill because of their nonsensical policies and refusal to provide the coverage we paid for.
Our puppy had diarrhea before our coverage began which began under the breeders care, which they conveniently used as an excuse to deny our claim when she later got seriously ill after the policy was active. Diarrhea is an incredibly common and minor issue in puppies, and it had no relation to the illness or the tests conducted she experienced later. Despite this, Fetch callously labeled it a "pre-existing condition" to avoid paying out.
Their customer service was unhelpful, unsympathetic, and showed zero willingness to work with us or address our concerns. It’s clear they are more interested in profiting from technicalities than helping pet owners when it truly matters.
We are canceling our policy and will never recommend Fetch to anyone. In fact, I’ll be warning every dog owner I know to steer clear of this company. If you value your pet’s health and your financial security, do NOT waste your money on Fetch Pet Insurance. They’ll happily take your premiums but will find any excuse to deny your claims.

I was told there was no paperwork or vet exam needed and have requested the transcript of that call, and I have not received any response to my 3 emails. As a result of bad information from the Fetch representative telling me no vet exam or paperwork was needed, and that wasn’t the whole truth I being told no, believing didn’t get paperwork done because I was told there was no paperwork, and now I have a claim, and now the representative tells me I did need paperwork and a specific exam and specific paperwork to be done and my dogs very costly diagnostics and needed surgery costs are denied and not approved. I’m disgusted by this.
Fetch Canada - Only about the money
I have witnessed my premiums skyrocket in the past 4 years from $400 to my latest premium of almost $1100, with having NO claims submitted during this time. Beware, run like hell, it’s all about money for this company. I enquired that, because I had no claims submitted, would my premiums offer some sort of a reduction. Answer was a flat no. Pathetic Company
