Fetch Canada - fetch denied all our claims for a foot…
fetch denied all our claims for a foot infection and claimed it was a pre existing condition. even after the vet wrote a letter stating it was not pre-existing and we provided a full 2 years of medical history they denied our claims. our cat died from the infection. never use this terrible company
Fetch Canada - Go with a different insurer other than Fetch
Choose a different pet insurance provider, Fetch will quickly find every way to deny a claim as a pre existing condition and not pay your claim. After many years as a customer with Pet Secure we transferred over to Fetch for our 5 year old dog because they advertise that they cover comprehensive dental and we knew he would eventually need his first dental cleaning. Our dog had a a routine dental cleaning months after we signed up with Fetch, our dog had to have some teeth extracted based on X-rays taken during the procedure, they denied the claim with 24 hours because they said that we hadn’t provided medical records for the 6 months prior to being a customer. We then uploaded an additional record for the standard vet appointment our dog had prior to the dental appointment, they then said the reassessment of the claim could take up to 30 days (even though the initial claim took 24 hours) during which they continued to take their $100 premium. They came back with a secondary denial of the claim stating that the teeth that were extracted were due to periodontal disease as a pre existing condition because the vet noted one broken tooth in his initial standard appointment, there was no way of noting which teeth (if any at all needed to be removed) until X-rays were taken during the actual procedure, we assumed we were just having a standard dental cleaning for our dog. We have since followed up with Fetch to discuss the second claim denial and no one has responded. We have since terminated our policy, it’s been a disappointing experience from start to end.
Fetch Canada - If I could give 0 stars
If I could give 0 stars, I would. Absolutely scam of an insurance company. They charged us for 5 months and when our pet finally needed to be taken in for UTI they denied the claim. They said we didn't have a checkup in the 12 months prior to enrolling or in the first 30 days -- which is something i told them during the onboarding because he's only 2 years old, we only had to take him in for the first year of neutering and vaccinations. If the initial checkup is a mandatory requirement for any claim in the first year to be successful then why continue taking my money? Why not mention it several times? why not remind your customer? Why not train your sales reps to emphasize this? I spoke with three sales rep during onboarding and an agent before the day of his emergency surgery and they said everything looks fine. DO NOT GO WITH FETCH, their customer service is atrocious, and their policy misleading.
Fetch Canada - Scam
Had them for a month they took my money and then when I submitted the bill after the dog being fixed microchips needles and everything it was a big Bill. And now they're fighting not to pay any of it they keep asking for more documents they keep asking for bills prior to even having them as an insurance I submitted the bill I submitted the stuff everything else that should be more than sufficient and I shouldn't be held up asking for more crap you have everything. Cancel the movie going with somebody that actually that can build directly and I don't have to go through this first bill and they don't want to pay a cent took my money won't give it back and won't pay nothing for the bill not a very good insurance beware of this pet insurance
I have e submitted all medical records I have submitted a full detailed bill so everything has been submitted they're now asking me for bills prior to having your insurance which they have no right to ask for
Fetch Canada - Scam and thieves
So I canceled with this company after the first month cuz I wasn't happy the way they did things. I don't want direct feeling they don't do I've submitted for a claim all the receipts all the medical records everything required then they tell me the deny my claim because I didn't submit the the records they're asking for documents or whatever but yet everything was submitted so yet how you supposed to know what's to submit you shouldn't I shouldn't be submit anything prior to me getting the insurance my insurance start on a certain date I submit bills after that date and all medical records not sure of the issue with this company took my money so give me my money back that I paid for the dog then if you're refusing my claim if you want to pay me those hundreds of dollars back cuz it was a big claim so people they do not reimburse you for Spain they do not reimburse you for chipping they do not reimburse you for vaccinations they do not reimburse you for flea and tick stuff trust me my claim for it always denied and this is the second review I put up do you think the company contacted me no cuz heaven forbid then give me my money back that I paid for the month since you didn't you know what I'm going to contact somebody higher there's an insurance place you can contact the office of the Supreme of insurance for any and all insurances and I think I'm going to do that and send him all the proof of everything I've sent and the way it denies maybe this company will be shut down then cuz I'm going to have them under investigation stole my monthly money and then refuse to pay me anything back pretty sad
Fetch Canada - More headache than payout.
Got Fetch pet insurance for our new puppy, Generally a bad experience. Coverage amounts were frequently less than expected, and often required a lot of back and forth documentation to get even partial coverage. Most egregious situation was when our dog had a sore tail that he was biting at at 11 months old they refused to cover the vet assessment because he was noted to be scratching at his new collar on his first assessment, so it was a "preexisting condition".
At the time I asked them not to renew when my policy ended. Then, when my policy ended, sure enough I got dinged for an annual renewal fee. Then when I called to get it reversed, they said they would only prorate me 11 months because I was already committed to continuing for at least another month.
Ridiculous.
Fetch Canada - You have to jump through hoops to cancel
I got Fetch Pet Insurance for my dogs first year. I used it only a few times so, I decided to cancel. I emailed them to cancel as I work during thier hours. They REFUSE to cancel unless I talk to a sales rep on the phone. I have never had such an issue with a company in my life.
