Healthy Paws Pet Insurance - I have this insurance for my 2 pets
I have this insurance for my 2 pets, a cat and a dog for 5 years. I started paying $67 for both. Last year or year before the monthly payment increased to $88 for both, and I agreed to it because I thought it happened after we did submit claims after my dog's surgery. But now, only 1 or 2 years after, after I didn't submit any claims, they increased it to $125, which is almost 50% increase! It is insane ! They offer other options which you will need to pay insurance AND deductible not $250 that I have now, but %500 or even %1000. Before it happened I did recommend this insurance for everyone, but now I can say that it is unfair, increase should not effect all customers, it may affect those who did submit claims, even not all of them, only if it was a lot. How much we will pay in a few years, like for car insurance, $ 700 ?????
Healthy Paws Pet Insurance - Leaving after four years of constant but…
After four years of constant but reasonable increases (from $31 to $62), current year renewal for a healthy 6 year old 55lbs dog went from $62 to $97. An otherwise great company that I would have stuck with and often recommended ruined by idiotic decisions - note the numerous complaints here and on other social media platforms like Reddit.

Just received a 208% monthly premium for our 2 dogs. Went from $193.37 in May to $597.35 in June for our 6 yr old golden/boxer mix and 10 yr boxer. No health changes for either one. Both had been covered with healthy paws for over 5 years.

Healthy Paws Pet Insurance - Heathy Paws is Horrible Joke
Heathy Paws is horrible. Bottom line.
Healthy Paws Pet Insurance - Waste of money
Waste of money. They only offer coverage on emergency care and do not cover any preventative care.
Healthy Paws Pet Insurance - Quick reimbursement, but steep/predatory premium increases
I think HealthyPaws has one of the best and most painless reimbursement experiences, but I can't justify the steep premium increases anymore - this year they are increasing my monthly premium by 229% from $94.26 to $215.41 for my one dog and it is unfortunately the last straw for me so I have sadly cancelled my policy today. I'm not sure if it's because they were recently acquired by Chubb, but when I spoke to a customer rep, they said that due to a combination of factors (more clients are filing claims, certain state laws are requiring pet insurance companies to be more transparent/ethical with their practices so they can't be sneaky with certain fees, vet costs rising in a few cities, etc.) Healthy Paws is doubling/tripling premiums for many folks this year. Also don't bother trying to negotiate for a lower premium, I've tried many times with no success. All they do is list all the reasons for the increase and that's about it.

I do NOT recomend this company if you really love your pet. I am insurance agent in California and it is normal companies increase your premium year by year, but from paying $89 a month pretend to rise to $227 a month is crazy, specially that my pet has no claims in 10 years. It is much better to get a good company that protect your pets during all their lives

Healthy Paws Pet Insurance - Rates Increase Every Year!!
We have had Healthy Paws Pet Insurance for our mini Goldendoodle since she was a puppy eight years ago. At that time we thought we were getting a good rate. Much to our dismay, they raise the annual premium almost yearly. Each year we are forced to lower our reimbursement percentage and increase the yearly out of pocket amount, We are now paying almost three times our original monthly payment. The company explained that there were too many claims from our state forcing the rates to go up. In my opinion this us nothing more than a bait and switch racket. Beware of getting sucked into this scam.
