Healthy Paws Pet Insurance - 50% increase in monthly premium from prior year!
I have been a very satisfied customer of Healthy Paws Pet Insurance for 3 years until I received an email yesterday notifying me that my monthly premiums will be increasing by 50% !! beginning in 63 days. My claims have been low for my 8 yr old dog with manageable annual premium increases of around 10% each year. I understand pet medical care costs are rising but there is no explanation to justify such a large increase. I have made comparisons with other pet coverage companies and will be saving that 50%.
Healthy Paws Pet Insurance - TYPICAL POOR Insurance CO!
I have had HP for several years. All of our claims have been quite small - so they are quick. & days ago submitted 3 claims. $208, $5400, $268. So they applied the $208 to deductible. The $268 was missing a digit on the receipt. THey refused to process the $5400 claim until they had the CORRECT receipt number! They were not even related! Vet was out sick and I could't get a reprint for 2 weeks. So I asked for HP to close that claim and process the $5400 - nope refused to!
Healthy Paws Pet Insurance - This is the worst insurance company…
This is the worst insurance company ever. They consider an ear infection a preexisting condition. How is an infection preexisting? The people who work for them essentially just read a script. The phone system disconnects callers about 1/3 of the time and the other times the employee just hangs up if they don't know how to answer a question. I am cancelling this plan and going back to the insurance I had before. I have about 80 e -mails from this outfit all saying the same thing. "They want more info". Even when all records were sent 3 times but they continuously lost them. Oh, and then suddenly were able to find them in the fax que. Do not use this company. Go to almost any other provider.
Healthy Paws Pet Insurance - Worst pet insurance company it doesn't…
Worst pet insurance company it doesn't cover a penny. You only pay for nothing. The don't pay u back. They only give u excuses
Healthy Paws Pet Insurance - No longer affordable
Monthly premiums have increased dramatically this year. They used to be an affordable option, but now it is astronomical! Perhaps the new customers are getting a decent price, but 5 years of loyalty has certainly not been rewarded. I am shopping for other options.
Healthy Paws Pet Insurance - Complete scam
Complete scam, there website how great they are. What it doesn’t talk about is how they were sued for 4.7 million for raising rates without telling there customers it also doesn’t talk about how you will pay for years an as soon as you submit your first claim they try every way to deny you. Just a heads up if you have been paying for years an you submitted a claim an they tell you that your not covered because of lack of exam you are entitled for a full refund of the policy and you can also take court action
Healthy Paws Pet Insurance - What a load of junk
What a load of junk. I am an insurance agent and these people do not make it clear that preventative is not covered in your policy. Paid premiums expecting to be reimbursed for those items only to find out those things were not covered. Though, they could be for an extra $50 some odd dollars per month. The premiums on 3 small dogs were already $109 per month. Highly recommend steering clear. Lucky I have not gotten around to calling the State DOI.
Healthy Paws Pet Insurance - So Disappointed in this company. We thought they were great.
So Disappointed in this company.
Healthy Paws Pet Insurance - BUYER BEWARE
BUYER BEWARE! READ THE FINE PRINT! Healthy Paws will hide behind its policies to deny claims, no matter how unreasonable and despite letters from veterinarians to the contrary. But they are very happy to take your premium payments for many years. Shameful.
Healthy Paws Pet Insurance - Better Policy Practices
I have been a customer since 2020 and was extremely upset after hearing there was no other way to lower my pet insurance. Then when I inquired about canceling I found out the only reimbursement I would receive is $84.00.
