Nationwide - Experience with Nationwide?
Hi y’all. I recently opted to cover my cat. I’m paying a bit more than I’d like to, but I’m willing to keep the policy if it’s a good investment. My cat has a preexisting condition they won’t cover. That sucks. Online I’m seeing customers were dropped due to aging pets.
What are your experiences with this company? Is it ok or should I run in the other direction?
Nationwide - Nationwide warning
My pup just got cancer, and I’ve had her on nationwide for 12 years, I signed up when it was 90% coverage, excluding wellness and they used to pay out reasonably well.
They hide it in the small print but they have extremely low limits for most categories - meaning I will be paying 70% of this out of pocket.
The diagnostic limit alone is $1650 which is 25% of an MRI in my area.
My other dogs are with healthy paws and pets best - I am sick that I didn’t move her sooner.
If you see this please just move your pups rather than suffer.
Nationwide - Pet insurance
So…I’ve had Nationwide for my Yorkie since I got him. For five years. They paid 90% which I think is exceptional. In fact, they’ve stopped that practice! He’s had pancreatitis twice, allergies and other expensive issues. Today I received a notice I was being cancelled. I feared it as the bills have been very high. My question is…Now What?? What recommendations do you have? Will a new company accept pre existing conditions? Who pays out the best and the fastest? I appreciate all thoughts! TIA
Nationwide - NCS National Commercial Service
Hey guys , so this happends to me , My son was involve in an car accident last year (few months ago). He was driving his scooter to school on a traffic light he make an line change and got hit by a car(He is a Minor). After few days we got the police report saying that was my sons fault. Nearly January I receive an letter from NCS saying that I need to pay them 14k!The insurance of the other guy was nationwide. It was just a small accident so this looks not normal to me. Being an minor and on an scooter on his way to school hitting by a car was very stressful and know we need to pay over 14k out of my pocket. Just want to ask if NCS a scam? Should I pay the balance?
Nationwide - Best insurance for only accidents, etc?
I have a 5 year old maltese with no pre existing conditions and currently use Nationwide. My dog had to have a simple surgery to have something removed on her eyelid and Nationwide only paid out ~10% of the claim. I am looking to switch carriers in exchange for better coverage.
If I only wanted to insure against accidents, unexpected events, and not routine care like vet visits and bloodwork, what pet insurance company offers the best value? I am a bit lost and the marketplace for pet insurance seems to be large and growing. The goal is to have a lot of coverage for, say, a $4,500 surgery as the result of something unexpected.
What does everyone think?
Nationwide - Massive Increase
So am I overpaying? Any recommendations on where to go? Nationwide increased my bill by a lot. Healthy dog.
Nationwide - In need of the best pet insurance
My pet insure Nationwide discontinued our pet policy. My dog a 4 year old Labrador has preexisting allergies. Trying to find the best pet insurance. Any ideas? Our vet does not use Pet Assure.
Update: Nationwide reinstated my policy but only at 50%. I will take it since my dog has allergies.
Nationwide - Nationwide pet website “session timeout” problems
Has anyone that has Nationwide (I know, I hate them for dropping so many clients and if my animals didn’t have so many conditions that would be considered “pre-existing” and not get covered elsewhere, we’d switch in a heartbeat) been experiencing issues with the website saying that the session has timed out almost immediately upon logging in? It’s been going on for me for MONTHS now and so submitting claims online is an absolute PAIN because it keeps logging me out.
Nationwide - Anyone have nationwide and get their dog tested for allergies
I’ve tried meds and special bland food and the dog is still scratching excessively. I got a quote for testing at like $1500 plus a $300 consultation fee. Was wondering if anyone knows if this is covered. When I called nationwide they were very vague, saying it depends and they can’t guarantee if it’s covered. Smh
Nationwide - I’m overwhelmed, help!
I’ve been looking for pet insurance and I’m so overwhelmed. I need help!
I was looking at nationwide since it looked affordable but then I read awful things. I’m hoping someone can give me some recommendations!
I live in Illinois.
8 year old Pomeranian, she had luxating patella (not sure how it’s spelled, but where her knee pops out of place).
7 almost 8 year old dachshund. He doesn’t have any pre-existing conditions!
Edit: THANK YOU for all the responses!
