Pawp - They won't pay
I had them for a year and when I finally did have an emergency they made up some bs reason to not pay and were very unprofessional about it!

I did a visit for my cat in August regarding separation anxiety he had. Then he got very sick in November, we did a few more visits and I EXPLICITLY asked if a video call was necessary for the emergency coverage fund and two different people said no because we were already physically at the vet’s office. When I submitted my claim for reimbursement, I was told we were denied because the August visit was, according to them, when he first presented with symptoms and we waited until November to have him seen, additionally we did not do the video call. My cat was diagnosed with FIP, had he had FIP in august he would’ve been dead by September so clearly the people they have do the chats don’t know how to do their jobs or the records I submitted would’ve shown that. Secondly, I was advised by two different team members that the video chat was not necessary for the emergency fund application even though I reiterated that the guidelines stated it was, they assured me I could still apply and be eligible.I’ve been paying for Pawp for over a year and spent $1,100 at the vet on the presumption that’d we be covered. This company is an absolute scam, they will come up with any & all excuses to deny a rightfully submitted claim. Would give 0 stars if possible.

They are a complete scam my dog was diagnosed with heart failure and they told me it was deemed an emergency however now that they have to pay out they denied the claim right away they are a complete rip off don’t use them.
Pawp - Don't bother getting this insurance
Don't bother getting this insurance. It is a complete fraud. I had my claim denied for something that is clearly covered in their terms. Don't waste your money here. Find insurance that is actually insurance
Pawp - I had several problems with auto ship…
I had several problems with auto ship of heart meds for my pet. The system does not adjust the auto ship according to the amount of meds prescribed. A prescription can be 50 pills for a 60 day period which results in a order being needed before the next autoship. Then another auto shipment will be sent within two weeks resulting in too much medication on hand over and over. There is no method to correct this on the website and they don't have a working customer service number. Chat doesn't seem able to correct theses issues either. My pet collapsed on a Sunday, I rushed him to an emergency vet and we chose to euthanize him. The next day I checked the emergency plan I had been paying a year for to find that because I didn't stop and call them so they could direct me to a vet of their choice I don't qualify for that reimbursement. Maybe I am overly sensitive at this moment but nothing about this company's policies or systems give any confidence that they care about your pet or you as a customer.

We had a medical emergency with our cat, and I followed the instructions as to having the video call with the Pawp vet. That vet told me during that chat to take him to the vet ASAP, due to his symptoms and we did. Pawp then refused to cover any of it. I understand perhaps not covering some parts, but having spent 20 a month for multiple months, then following the instructions exactly as they are in the terms, and being outright denied coverage feels like straight up theft.
Pawp - Pawp decides if it's an "Emergency" not the Vets.

I received a promotional code through my Walmart Plus membership for Pawp. I THOUGHT I was signing up for that promotion via my mobile device, come to find out, it was a 3 day trial, not the promotion I was given through Walmart+. So I canceled the 3 day trial same day, and reached out to their support. They provided me with direction and a link to sign up, and instructed me to use my computer, not a mobile device. So when I went to complete the sign up with the promotional code, it was then prompting me to pay $99. So I reached back out and was told that I had already signed up and canceled a trial so I was not able to sign back up under a promotion. Definitely will not be using their services, as they clearly knew what I did was a honest mistake and misunderstanding.
