Pawp - Has tons of potential
This was free with Walmart plus membership. It has so much potential but really lacks a lot. A telehealth platform for pets is a great idea whether it's free or there's a small fee. Pawp is free but in my state they cannot dispense prescriptions...so I ask "why bother??!" The point, in my opinion , is to save a vet visit fee and just have to pay for a script. A fine service if it were designed that way. So in order to get money they recommend and provide links of pet items you can use from Walmart...or their emergency insurance , which "no thank you, I'm not a circus performer, and jumping thru any hoops" for that offer ....I'm okay with pushing Walmart pet items if thats in conjunction with vet service that includes a prescription.
Pawp - No prescription in Texas
No prescription in Texas, the only reason I bothered signing up for this service. Very disappointing.
Pawp - When our cat started gasping at 2 A.M
Signed up for the “$3,000 emergency fund” promise. When our cat started gasping at 2 A.M., the video vet was kind and quick on Zoom—great bedside manner. Then the red tape began: five uploads of receipts, three days of waiting, and only 60 % of the bill covered “per policy.” Not a scam, but not the safety net they advertise, either—more like a helpful friend who’s always a little short on cash.
Pawp - It's a business they're trying to make money
Started to seem concerned about my pet's health and then immediately went into pay for services it's a business it's corporate don't let them fool you they really don't care and no matter what you do in the end they say take your pet to the veterinarian wow that was a fun circle and you want money money for everything it's a total scam don't go for it
Pawp - My cat started wheezing at 2 a.m.
My cat started wheezing at 2 a.m. and Pawp’s vet on video was kind—she talked me through checking his gums and tempo, which steadied my panic. Still, when I asked for the advertised $3 k “emergency fund,” the hoops appeared: receipts, fax-quality records, then radio silence for three days. He’s fine now, but the safety net feels more like fishing line—strong until you lean on it.
Pawp - Great app and friendly assistance!

Pawp - Our tabby ate a lily leaf at 1…
Our tabby ate a lily leaf at 1 a.m.—terrifying. Pawp’s vet on video diagnosed pretty fast and saved us a panic run to the ER, but follow-up info took hours and the script they sent was 30% pricier than our local clinic. Useful in a pinch, just don’t expect white-glove care.
Pawp - I’ve been a member since 2022
I’ve been a member since 2022, and I’ve recommended this insurance to many friends and family members because it seemed like such a great option—especially after seeing a colleague in the veterinary field have a successful experience with her cat’s claim.
Pawp - Such a waste of money
Such a waste of money. All they ever say is go to a vet. ChatGPT is better then pawp.
