Tesla Insurance - [CA] Rear ended, subrogated, repair complete but need to pursue diminished value from at-fault driver's insurance. Adjuster is non-responsive.
A few weeks ago I was rear ended at a complete stop. Had dashcam footage, etc. so all set there. I subrogated through my insurance and got my car fixed, etc. That is done. My adjuster said a diminished value claim would have to be made directly with the other party's insurance, Tesla Insurance in this case, however.
I got the information of the Tesla adjuster - just a name and phone number. He doesn't answer calls and his voicemail is full. He also does not answer texts. I am wondering what next steps could be - I suppose I could file a small claims case for the diminished value to get things moving. It has been a while. I was hit in a brand new, high value sports car with a few hundred miles so I am *very* keen on pursuing diminished value.
Tesla Insurance - Car insurance claim - Shop not providing estimate/quote for aftermarket items until repair is completed?
I am going through Tesla insurance for my Model Y. I had a few aftermarket parts and vinyl wrap that needs to be replaced as part of the repair.
The quote/check for the repair does not include just three items and the shop is saying that they will submit a separate claim/payment for that item after everything else is repaired and done.
Additionally, they are saying that after all of that, I need to go get a quote for the wrap and submit that separately on my own to see if Tesla will reimburse me for it.
Anyone have any insight on this? At this point, it has taken me several months to even get a reply back from the shop, I almost want to just ask for a check and get it done elsewhere or figure it out on my own. The only issue is the check was sent to the shop as a two person check, so I almost feel like I will be stuck with this shop.
Tesla Insurance - False Insurance Claim Against Me
I recently almost got into an accident where the person in front of me stopped in an active lane of traffic and I had to hard brake. I stopped short of hitting the guy's bumper and we both pulled over to check if there's any damage. Confirmed no damage but he made me exchange phone numbers and driver's license info with him and we took pictures of the cars before going our separate ways.
I didn't file a claim nor let my insurance know since there was no collision to begin with. A couple of days later I got a voicemail from his insurance's claims adjuster saying that a claim was made against me for a rear-end collision. Since it was after-hours I called the general support line for his insurance and got a hold of a live agent who was able to give me more information and what to do to dispute the claim. I've provided the pictures and dashcam footage leading up to the encounter to the claims adjuster and also filed a claim with my insurance because there's no other way of getting a hold of someone in my insurance until the weekday (I blame Tesla Insurance for shotty staffing).
I wanted to ask the community if there's anything else I should do or be aware of in this process. I think the guy is trying to make a claim that I damaged his bumper as he had existing damage there (I confirmed in the pictures and the dashcam footage).
EDIT: Forgot to mention that I plan on calling the other guy's claims adjuster as well as the one assigned to my claim to confirm receipt of information and if I need to provide anything else. I sent the pictures and dashcam footage to my claims adjuster as well.

Tesla Insurance - 2024 Tesla Model Y totaled - Not happy with the offer by Tesla Insurance
Hi, our new 2024 Tesla Model Y LR was declared totaled by Tesla Insurance and they are valuing the car at $39,451, which we don't think is fair. We bought the car in mid-Aug 2024, had only put 1316 miles before we were involved in a crash on Dec 03, 2024. We were at fault party (there was no other party involved) , so we filed a claim with our Auto Insurance which is from Tesla Insurance. We are in Fairfax, VA, but the valuation report uses for reference a similar Tesla in Apopka, FL, \~ 1000 miles away !. Btw list price of the Apopka, FL was $ 40,900 and it had 3904 miles on it.
Also they have listed the Vehicle Condition as Good/Well Maintained across different areas. We do not know the scale Audatex (3rd party company who provided the valuation report) uses but our car was impeccably maintained and its condition was 'Excellent'.
Need advice on how to fight back.
Thanks.
