your insurance company - Under insured driver at fault hit me
Hi everyone- a lady hit me with her car and 2 others. There is a limits issue and the insurance adjuster said i MUST go through my insurance to fix the car. I don't want too - I would rather just get what I can and fix the rest out of pocket. The insurance adjuster said there's nothing I can do until hear from your insurance company. Is this true? They will 1. Not give me any money at all. 2. I HAVE to go through my insurance.
My car is under my parents insurance and I don't want to touch their stuff. I don't care if I'm not at fault. This was only temporary until I got my own insurance.
Your Insurance Company - Billing primary care as specialist
My primary care provider is a PA with a family practice. I have seen her many times and paid just my office copay. My last visit was billed as a specialist visit and is requiring the specialist copay. My insurance is saying that they consider PA's to be specialists so are billed accordingly but could not explain why every other visit was billed as an office visit. On their provider directory her copay is listed as the office visit one.
I confirmed with my doctor's billing department that they did not bill it any differently so it should not require the specialist copay. I've spent days calling my insurance but every time they "review" the claim they come up with the same answer.
Any ideas on how I can get this fixed?
my insurance company - Car accident advice
I just recently got into a car accident where I was turning left on and intersection right after my light turned green, and the other driver was to my right side driving straight through the intersection with a red light.
They hit me on the front right side of my car and my car was deemed totalled.
I called the insurance company and she has not yet made a detailed statement on her insurance or police report (the accident happened at around 6pm on Monday). My insurance is deeming this 100% my fault. How do I get out of this? It obviously was not my fault as she ran then red, but they are saying there is no proof to her running a red light, which is true, I have none. But why does it then have to be 100% my fault? It is so so frustrating, and I would like some help going forward with this.
I haven’t signed any papers for the insurance company yet and am hoping to dispute this. Do I have a leg to stand on? Thanks.
Edit: I should also add that I have told my insurance company about her carrying an expired insurance sheet and her driving for Uber Eats with her car not registered as a commercial used vehicle.
the insurance company - Insurance question
I am a trusting person. I will state this upfront.
We switched home insurance carriers last year. I was told by someone that they discontinued our vinyl siding and to purchase or look for a matching endorsement for it when I switched.
I talked with the insurance salesman who I asked if they have a matching endorsement for vinyl siding. He said “it is not needed”
i then asked clearly “if one side of our house is damaged and the siding has been discontinued you will replace all of the siding correct?” His response was “yes we will make it right, we will make you whole”
Low and behold. Massive hail damage to one side of our house. Our siding is discontinued. Insurance says we will just try and match it to the best we can.
Is there any recourse here?
rental car's insurance company - can car renter/insurance take away my driver's license?

homeowners insurance company - T-Lock shingles
My homeowners insurance company called me and told me I need to replace my roof and get rid of the t-lock shingles or they will drop me. Is it right for them to do that? The roof is in good condition doesn’t leak or anything. They are basically forcing me to get a good roof redone. Is there something I can do to have them help pay to where I’m not replacing on my own?
Neighbor's insurance company - Neighbor’s Hit-and-Run Left Me Jobless, Seeking Advice on Insurance Coverage and Next Steps
(TL;DR at the bottom)
In mid-December 2024, my parked car was involved in a hit-and-run while I was at home. Surveillance footage revealed a white Mercedes struck my vehicle and fled. Unable to identify the driver immediately, I reported the incident to the police and my insurance company.
By early January, my car was declared totaled. As a tobacco inspector, my job required a personal vehicle for site visits. Without transportation, I was removed from the schedule and subsequently terminated. Despite actively seeking employment since January, I’ve been unable to secure a new position.
In March, I noticed the same white Mercedes parked nearby. After running the VIN, my insurance confirmed it belonged to a neighbor. She had concealed her vehicle for over two months following the incident. Upon presenting this evidence, her insurance company accepted liability, acknowledging her prior claim in December for hitting a parked car.
However, her policy only covers the Pennsylvania state minimum of $5,000 for property damage, which was paid to my insurer. After settling my car loan, I received $3,000 from my insurance, insufficient to replace the vehicle. Without steady income, securing auto financing has been challenging.
I purchased my 2018 Mazda6 Grand Touring Reserve in April 2023. The total finance amount was $21,116 , I put down $4,500 and made regular monthly payments until the car was totaled in December 2024. At the time of the accident, it was valued at $16,500. After the remaining loan balance and deductible were paid, I received only about $3,300 ,far below what I had put into the car and not enough to replace it
To date, my neighbor has not acknowledged the incident or attempted to discuss it with me.
Without a vehicle, my ability to work has been severely impacted, and relying on public transportation and rideshares has become financially burdensome during unemployment.
I’ve now missed approximately 12 weeks of full-time wages as a direct result. I reside in Philadelphia, PA.

My questions:
• Given the circumstances, what additional insurance coverages could have better protected me in this situation?
• Are there specific endorsements or policy options that can safeguard against underinsured drivers causing significant losses?
• What steps should I take when the at-fault party’s insurance coverage is insufficient to cover damages?
Any guidance or insights from those familiar with insurance claims and coverage options would be greatly appreciated.

TL;DR: Neighbor’s hit-and-run totaled my car, leading to job loss. Her insurance covered only $5,000, leaving me unable to replace the vehicle or secure new employment. Seeking advice on insurance coverages that could have mitigated this loss and steps to take when the at-fault party’s coverage is inadequate.
charter bus' insurance company - Witness ghosting me. Any recourse?
Hi, my parked car was scratched up on the side by a charter bus a couple months ago. A witness left a note with their number stating that they can send me the license plate photo. They seemed very willing to help and agreeable to making a statement if needed. I had opened a claim with the bus’ insurance company and sent the agent text screenshots of the correspondence with the witness. Weeks later the agent informed me they couldn’t get in touch with the witness and issued a denial because of that.
I texted the witness and asked if they could follow up with the agent and was met with no answer twice a couple weeks apart. Is there any other form of proof that I could present to strengthen my case? Thanks in advance!
insurance company - Big Payouts
After all these years, it still grinds my gears. A truck carrying drilling waste accidentally went into the wrong farmer's field, and sprayed a tiny bit of it on the alfalfa field, before the driver realized his mistake. I was called in to analyze the soil test data and write a report and recommendations. The tests showed salinity deep in the soil profile, that couldn't have possibly come from the drilling waste, and I said so in my report. I was called to a meeting with the insurance adjuster and had to endure a thorough dressing down for it (by a British accent no less) and made to look the fool in front of my peers. The insurance company was far more inclined to spend dozens of millions to excavate all the soil and have it replaced instead. That was my first inkling that insurance companies don't really want to avoid big payouts; they use them to justify raising their premiums.
GAP insurance company - I'm stumped on what to do with my auto loan, GAP insurance etc
Location: Missouri
Alright long story short, I had a car accident earlier this year that totalled my vehicle. I had full coverage insurance that covered the majority of the auto loan I had. The other party, the GAP insurance is to take care the rest of my loan. I got a piece of mail from the GAP people saying the check has been issued to my lean holder on February 11th, was told it should take no more than 30 days for that money to hit that account. So I called my auto lender to ask what's going on, turns out the GAP insurance company sent the check to the wrong address, that was March 11th. 30 days since the initial start of the GAP claim, I called them again today, March 25th to figure out what is going on. Come to find out they issued a new check on March 18th which was last week. It's been 7 days, nearly 45 in total since my auto loan should of been taken care of but it hasn't and I haven't been able to get a new loan due to my current outstanding loan that the GAP insurance is supposed to take care of.
Basically I don't know what to do at this point, I'm still paying on the current auto loan cause I don't want it to effect my credit but at the same time I no longer have the vehicle since it's been totalled and taken by my auto insurance, what do I do in this situation, is there anything I can do?
