Hey folks, I’m dealing with a frustrating situation involving my apartment’s property management and my insurance company, and I could really use some advice. There was a minor fire accident in my apartment, and the total bill is under $5,000. My renter’s insurance is willing to cover the cost, but they require the property management to sign a release form. The problem is, the property management’s legal team wants to make edits to the form, but my insurance company’s legal team won’t allow any modifications. So now I’m stuck in this deadlock where: • My insurance won’t pay without the signed release form. • The property management won’t sign it unless they can edit it. • My insurance won’t accept any edits. I feel like I’m caught in the middle with no way to move forward. Has anyone dealt with something similar? Any suggestions on how to break this stalemate?
