Geico - What happens now?Car accident
Back in December I got in a car accident. Literally work 4 mins away. I only drive to work to be able to pay my car and insurance. Long story short … I was in a 2 weeks waiting period before my insurance started thinking my last insurance was still active (it wasn’t). Police came and still accepted the insurance. Didn’t get cited or anything. My insurance said they can’t cover since it was during the waiting period… guy attempted to contact a lawyer and claim injuries but wasn’t injured after all or they didn’t find anything wrong. He doesn’t wanna admit to fault because he was speeding so obviously his insurance is blaming me. They called and threatened to report me to DMV and get my license suspended if I don’t pay 15k… I told them I wanted the case to be re-evaluated since I know I’m not 100% at fault. They never called again and since then my license is still active. I haven’t heard back from either his insurance or the lawyer he was trying to claim injuries . What happens now ? Is my license still a threat to be suspended due to my insurance not being active at the moment even if the cops didn’t ticket me ? Should I just not worry if they’re not calling me anymore ? I also don’t wanna get in trouble but the fact that the guy tried to claim injuries and lied about his speed isn’t fair to me

One quote said $300, the other said $330 and then I get an email saying it’s $196.

State Farm - Question about Renter's Insurance
I’m moving to a new state and currently have renters’ insurance with State Farm. I filed a claim for a theft in my building a couple of months ago, where a large amount of my personal items were stolen from what was supposed to be a secure mailroom.
Last Friday, I contacted a State Farm agent in my new state to set up a policy for my next apartment. After taking the weekend to get back to me, she said she had spoken with the underwriting department and they couldn’t write me a policy because of that claim. She specifically said I couldn’t have an active claim in the last **24–36 months**.
That doesn’t make sense to me. Why would the rule be a range instead of a clear cutoff? Is this standard insurance practice, and I’m just unfamiliar with it, or did she give me incorrect info? The vague timeline feels odd, and I’m wondering if she was just making it up or if she has the information wrong. I ended up going with a different insurance company anyway, but just wondering if she was BSing
Solstice - Marketplace Insurance
In December of last year, I purchased a plan from the Georgia Marketplace. A dental plan. I have called 4 of the offices mentioned under their provider tab and nobody accepts this insurance (solstice -Essential Smile GA- Total Care). One of the dental offices even mentioned that that particular insurance does not cover anything. Would this count as bad faith, false advertising or a 23 year-old learning the hard way about America's health/insurance issues.

I have had embrace for 10 years on my dog and cage and have had claims and have a 90% Reimbursement Rate they are awesome . Over the years rate increase were always as expected .I just got my Renewal and it sky rocketed from $220 a month to $340! Any one else experiencing a dramatic rate increase?

Please don't fall for them . They are a scam . Besides internist personally writing to them that my cats who (needed biopsy )condition was not pre-existing sending 2 years of medical records calling emailing speaking with several people who barely know what their doing they denied my claim. Don't fall for their lying sales people . I report them to BBB I hope more people will ,Spot can't keep scamming people.
GAP - GAP CLAIM DENIED
Hi,
I got into accident and my car was total loss. It had a loan amount of $40k. Primary insurance paid market value $32k and pending was $8k, which suppose to be covered by GAP.
I went to Gap, submitted all documents. The purchase agreement I had was under the name of A (lets say) Autos and Gap document had name of B autos. These two different dealerships had partnership at that time. Now Gap asked for original bill of sale and I provided it by reaching out to B. Now both documents Bill of Sale and Gap have same dealer name on it and they denied my claim saying ‘dealer name mismatch’.
They denied a document and then denied the claim on basis of document that was never accepted by them.
Please tell me what should I do. Its been 8-9 months I’m dealing with dealer at B autos and he is just saying same thing every time that he is talking to Gap sometime they respond sometime dont. Sometime this guy doesn’t answer my calls.
Its costing me my mental heath, time and money without owning a car.

Aetna - Health Plan removing Miebo as a covered Drug
My Aetna plan will be removing Miebo from coverage in the new plan year effective 7/1/25.
This drug is the only FDA approved drug proven to treat the evaporative component of dry eye disease. There recommending I switch to Restasis , which is a good drug, but only treats the production of tears and not evaporation.
Since there is no generic and no FDA approved alternative , are there any legal actions I can consider, or the plan can just do whatever they want and I’ll need to find another company that will cover the plan. The drug is about $800 a month, and while I can make it work, I would prefer for it to be paid for.
I could also attempt to back door the European Version EVOTEARS from Germany for $20 a bottle.
Progressive - Credit Dispute with Progressive Insurance
I was with progressive and I stopped being with them after an accident happened that I was put at fault, even though I wasn’t. Due to my lack of knowledge of how to even report an accident. After I paid my final bill from progressive they issued me another fee and so I didn’t pay it and now it’s affecting my credit which I want to get the claim off, but I don’t know how to explain that I was charge additionally for something that I honestly don’t know what the fee is for.
MetLife Pet Insurance - undisclosed fees
I recently had to cancel my insurance policy within 24 hours, and I was charged a $12 enrollment fee. Dianna, a manager from MetLife Pet Insurance, mentioned that while they will refund the premium, the $12 enrollment fee is non-refundable and isn’t included in the premium. Just a friendly heads-up for fellow pet owners!
