Let everyone know!
Insurance companies are constantly reviewing us. Are we too old? Do we live in the wrong place? Is our credit score high enough? Well, now it's time to turn the tables. Do you charge too much? Will you pay my claim quickly? Is your coverage worse than it seems? We can review you too.

After 7 days I'm still waiting for approval (or not). Not a lot to review right now. I thought you guys would be quicker.
Trupanion - Very expensive and would not honor the…ha
Very expensive monthly fee; and Trupanion would not honor one of my former claims even though it was appealed by my vet. My vet said my dog had an ear infection with no sign of allergies at the time of the exam. She said Trupanion only assumed it was.
Pets Best - I’ve been with PetsBest for 3 years
I’ve been with PetsBest for 3 years. Mostly it’s been good. This wellness claim has been a little slow pay. I am sure they have a very conscientious staff that checks every box, but sometimes you just need your reimbursement asap
ASPCA - Canciling
With the recent rate increase I decided not to continue with the insurance
Spot - As my much as I pay each month
As my much as I pay each month, I feel it’s not worth it. I haven’t submitted a claim on my dog in a year yet pay approx $50/month. I just submitted a claim for over $300 and barely got $100 covered.
ASPCA - Customer Service is not knowledgeable…
Customer Service is not knowledgeable about how to file claims.
Assistance by phone to walk me through a claim process is stressful and I don't feel customer service has been trained sufficiently.
The claim process online is not detailed enough, therefore I don't feel I'm getting as much money back as I should.
I only signed up with this service because of ASPCA but I will be changing insurance companies soon.
MetLife customer service is easier to make claims.
Embrace - Delaying Claim Payment
I have a claim in for oral mass surgery and GI issues - they are sending for review and getting records. The cost was over 1800. I’ve barely used the insurance since I’ve had it for the last 3+ years for my pets. And they say it can take up to 30 business days. I even didn’t use my wellness one year for 2 pets that’s over 500. Pretty disappointed in Pet Embrace. I thought they’d be there when you need them. Now feeling like they are trying to find a way not to pay.
Pumpkin - I do not know if I like or dislike yet…
I do not know if I like or dislike yet because I have not used it yet. I just purchased it for my pup.
Fetch Canada - Waste of money, stay away!!
Yes they do cover what they say in your policy but beware! God forbid you make a claim. We had both our dogs covered by these crooks for years until we had to make a claim and then the policy monthly payment jumped by over 50% for the one dog and was ridiculous for the other dog after a claim the monthly jumped to over $250 but only after the claim. Of course they tell you it's because of a whole lot of factors but it sure seems like a really high coincidence that both times we finally made a claim the rates jumped up to the point where after another year that claim they would have their money paid back. Every year the claim would go up, but after a claim it was crazy. Our one dog started at $43 per month, then the next year went to $56, then to $74, then to $105, all with zero claims. Once we had a claim the next policy was going to be $163!!! Stay away!!!! The same thing happened with both dogs after a claim. Kept raising the premium every year and did absolutely nothing. Once they had to cover something it jumped like crazy.
Trupanion Canada - We had a $500 deductible with my dog’s…
We had a $500 deductible with my dog’s insurance, and every time she needed care, we had to pay out of pocket. One night, we had an emergency and the $300 visit wasn’t covered because emergencies aren’t covered. On top of that, they raised my premium from $115 to $160 in just one year without notifying me. They’re such a rip-off! If you need pet insurance, go with Costco Pet Insurance – they cover all visits. I will never recommend Trupanion to anyone.
