Have an issue with your insurance?
Let everyone know!
Insurance companies are constantly reviewing us. Are we too old? Do we live in the wrong place? Is our credit score high enough? Well, now it's time to turn the tables. Do you charge too much? Will you pay my claim quickly? Is your coverage worse than it seems? We can review you too.
Lemonade - False advertising, precipitous increases with every renewal
I had previously been insured with Metromile who was unfortunately bought out by Lemonade. I had such a positive experience with Metromile. I live in the city and mostly bus around. My insurance has increased by 75%. And while they say they take into account your driving record, they do NOT. When I last questioned the huge increase they sent me a message saying that rate increases were due to many factors including driving record. When I responded that my driving record was exemplary they responded with oh, this was an across the board increase. When I saw an ad on television touting their taking driving record into account I had to write this review. Don't be duped. This company is predatory like so many other insurers.
Spot Pet Insurance - As my much as I pay each month
As my much as I pay each month, I feel it’s not worth it. I haven’t submitted a claim on my dog in a year yet pay approx $50/month. I just submitted a claim for over $300 and barely got $100 covered.
Healthy Paws Pet Insurance - Uses any excuse not to pay.
We have our Shelty insured for over a year. Aside from not paying for exams we were denied significant expenses tracking down a shoulder problem. They denied it as pre-existing, but that is not so. Perhaps, they mean pre-existing to making the claim. I think these folks are terrible, go anywhere else.
Lemonade - Such A Mess
The windshield claim process is messy. The denial does not make sense.
Trupanion - Too hard to deal with now
You have become increasing more difficult to deal with. Not linking claims appropriately & trying not to cover things you should be. Making me waste time to call & sit on hold then to argue with someone. I will NOT be getting Trupanion again!!! We will be choosing another company for sure when we expand our fur family. Trupanion sucks.
Pet Insurance - I didn’t realize when I paid for the…
I didn’t realize when I paid for the insurance that I would not know the effective date for weeks. I feel this was very misleading during the purchase process (or at least not made very clear) and makes me feel like I got scammed.
Trupanion - We had a $500 deductible with my dog’s…
We had a $500 deductible with my dog’s insurance, and every time she needed care, we had to pay out of pocket. One night, we had an emergency and the $300 visit wasn’t covered because emergencies aren’t covered. On top of that, they raised my premium from $115 to $160 in just one year without notifying me. They’re such a rip-off! If you need pet insurance, go with Costco Pet Insurance – they cover all visits. I will never recommend Trupanion to anyone.
Pet Insurance - Most evil pet insurance company alive
Most evil, pet hating, unethical company in the entire market!! DO NOT USE THEM!
Lemonade - Sneaky and unreliable
Lemonade bought my prior insurer, so my pay per mile insurance (I barely drive) transferred to them. After years with zero problems on metromile, within a few months of the switch to lemonade the dongle that tracks my miles silently dropped its connection, and without texting or calling me, lemonade just increased my monthly payment from around $60 to around $1500 and started taking that out of my bank account. Again, with no attempt to contact me first. Freaking crazy, avoid these jackals at all costs.
ASPCA Pet Insurance - Company needs major improvement
While I have had some good claims go through, the most recent one was handled extremely poorly. They will dig through your pet's medical history until they find something they can latch on to and call a preexisting condition. This time it was - VOMITING. Vomiting as a pre-existing condition? That is a symptom of literally everything. When you call and ask for explanations, they can barely speak English let alone explain the reasons why your claim is denied. They will not look at the claim again, just tell you to dispute the claim. I will try but I'm sure it will amount to nothing. As someone who works in customer service, this experience has been less than stellar. A company with ties to the ASPCA that treats its customers and pets this way is sickening. Now I'm scared to leave because my dogs are seniors and need coverage. Very disappointed. 0 stars.
