Embrace - Price gauging
Increased my rate by 63% in one year. They said it was due to the age of my dog. My dog just turned 7 years old, I’ve had embrace the whole time. I’ve used maybe $200 in claims in 7 years. Absolutely insane. After 20 years of using them I will be switching companies.

Every claim I have written has been denied. They have asked for medial records for minimum of 1 year and my dog isn't one year old. I have also submitted other claims and they were denied as pre-existing conditions. Upon supplying additional information the claims were still denied. DO NOT GO HERE you will write a check for insurance only for all claims to be denied.
Nationwide - Slow turn around
Purchased a pet policy over a week ago, still don’t know if my dog is insured at this time. Slow turn around.
MetLife - Metlife pet insurance is the worst
Metlife will endlessly ask for records over and over. They will call your vet asking for the same records that they have already received 100 times over. No matter how many times you submit them. They continue to stall in hopes that you will just give up. Metlife is the worst. Don't waste your time and money.
Embrace - BS company
Raised my rates because we moved. Same vet, same cat, same furniture but different living room. Maybe they think my cat is driving our car? Not sure how our new address makes him a higher risk.

When making the claim I was never told where the money was gonna be sent to process was quick but no way to see if and when and where the money will be refunded to.
Pets Best - They are efficient, but reimbursement rates are far from actual costs
They are efficient. I do regret that they don't reimburse more for the actual cost of routine pet care. Cost of routine care is high, but is presumably cheaper than paying out for big problems that could be prevented. A 200$ lab panel reimbursed at 50$ is not all that helpful.
