Pumpkin - Waiting period applies
There is a waiting period that applies, so do not think you can bet this insurance and use it in less than a couple of weeks. Did not really look for fine print, so it may be in there somewhere, but it was not something that jumped out at me.
Trupanion - Bubble-wrap animal for first 30 days, or don't let anything get diagnosed at least.
I signed up my younger dog for Trupanion after our cat passed, b/c Trupanion is expensive. We're now staring down the barrel of a lymphoma diagnosis and even the blood test to find out if he has friggin cancer is rejected b/c it's less than 30 days since signup. We're about to get "pre-existing condintion"'d into oblivion after over a decade with Trupanion. I'm about to cancel the new policy and if our older dog wasn't SO old that it's actually worthwhile I'd cancel that too. Hope y'all feel good about yourselves.

This company moved out of Canada to the us and is now charging in US dollars and converting that amount to Canadian dollars. Watch your bill go through the roof if you are Canadian. You can't even talk to a Canadian on the phone.
Fetch Canada - Bad service
When I paid for the insurance, I took it in case I needed to do something urgent for my cat. And it so happened that I had to visit the emergency once. I paid everything myself and sent an insurance claim for a refund. I had to wait almost 2 months for a response, first to receive information that there were not enough documents, and then a decline. It is very difficult to contact support. When I asked to cancel the subscription, they told me that I had to complete a quest to cancel. In general, it looks like a scam scheme.
It should say something about the company when 24% of the reviews are 3-stars or less and 16% are 1-star. It should also tell you something about the company when the annual rate increase is predictable and will be double digits. But if you log in and get a rate quote for your pet you will get a cheaper rate than if you renew. Today's email ping-pong battle with the Embrace Claims Adjuster Manager was an exercise in futility. She kept telling me what information she had access to and refused to acknowledge that someone in the company above her level might have the information. I can't believe that USAA has aligned themselves with this company and actually recommends Embrace's services to their customers. Embrace does not understand the fundamental tenets of customer service and building brand loyalty. The very people that created the problem (Claims) are left to adjudicate the problem? That solution doesn't always work.
Embrace - Be Careful with this company
Be Careful with this company. Once your dog has a pre-existing condition they try to use it to not pay any claims. My dog had an ear infection and they said that it wasn’t covered because he has dermatitis. Tell me that is not a joke! Spend your money wisely and go with a different animal insurance company. I wish I had! Very unhappy!

I'm honestly looking into filing a lawsuit against Embrace for their bad faith practices. I submitted documentation and a letter from my Dog's doctor and a appeal was reversed, but they still try to look for every reason to deny a claim. So my claim was denied twice for the same reason when my Dog's doctor proved that any pre-existing conditions are not related. HORRENDOUS SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ASPCA - 90% Reimbursement is a Sham !!
My total bill for Ashley’s Vet Visit was 984.47 - I paid 500.00 deductible leaving 484.47 and I was reimbursed 82.85. Now this just doesn’t sit well with me. I was under the impression 90% reimbursement means I should receive 436.02. Was shocked when was told that they only pay what they feel is the appropriate charge for services provided. So think twice about using this insurance. I know I’m looking elsewhere.
