Dutch Pet Insurance - Go elsewhere or be prepared to be gouged
It’s a nice idea - vet seemed fine - but they try to up charge you on everything and require you to buy things you don’t need at exorbitant rates by bundling them in ways that you cannot unbundle them. Be careful when you order anything - they will try to trick you into “subscribing” monthly to things you don’t need. Be sure to read carefully uncheck all their prefilled boxes. Overall I’m so irritated by there skeevy business practices I would not use them again.
Dutch Pet Insurance - Difficult to get to talk to vet.
Asked about 50 questions after I subscribed. Explained the symptoms at least 5 times, asked to talk to a vet, but not connected about 5 times. I am asking for my subscription back and to be reimbursed. They may be good for prescriptions, but certainly not service. Website very confusing.
Healthy Paws Pet Insurance - One claim and rate skyrocketed
I submitted one claim for approximately 1800 when my dog broke her foot. We had been a client for five years with zero other claims. My monthly rate went from approximately $41 to $60 in one month. Their excuse was they had her breed wrong, she’s a mix and they had her as a Labradoodle and when they changed her to a mixed breed, they said that was the cause of rate skyrocketing. When I questioned it, they went radio silent on me. I’m filing a claim with the state of California insurance commission. I would suggest you avoid this company.
Dutch Pet Insurance - Why is it I can never sign in
Why is it I can never sign in. This is the third time I needed a vet and can't get into the website. When you click on contact us..no one responds to the email. Total BS. I really should get my money back. Someone should provide a phone number to get ahold of customer support.
Dutch Pet Insurance - All I needed was a prescription diet prescribed by my vet!
I placed an order for a prescription cat diet. I was sent the OTC version of the diet and said it didn't qualify for a return since they cannot accept returns for prescription items. I never provided any vet information for them to verify with my veterinarian, so I am assuming that is why they sent the OTC version. Despite taking pictures of what they sent compared to a screenshot of what THEY provided that I ordered they have cut off communication. They acknowledged its an OTC diet but refuse to allow me to return it. I reached out the same day it was received and it is completely unopened. I am contacting my credit card company to dispute the charge and I am contacting the BBB. I have now lost DAYS of getting the food my cat NEEDS because they can't get themselves together. Ridiculous!

Wow if you want to literally loose money for nothing this is the place for you. Not recommend. Think I’m gonna really appreciate waiting in an actual lobby instead whatever the heck this was about. I hope I get a refund. Think taking my pet to a random person walking down the street t 3 am would have been more helpful.
Figo Pet Insurance - hardly anything was covered
hardly anything was covered. Less than 1/3 out of a necessary test and prescription. I'll be looking for different insurance. Why pay a premium if they don't even cover 1/2 of one month's worth.

Figo Pet Insurance - Denies everything
All around bad experience. The app is convenient but has many glitches. However customer service was very responsive which is why they’re getting 2 stars instead of 1. But overall bad insurance experience clearly out for a profit instead of actually providing ease of mind. So much work obtaining and uploading records only to get minimal reimbursement or complete denial. When I had an actual problem visit to use the insurance with it was denied because my vet’s documentation “wasn’t sufficient”?! Like any vet would go and re-write an entire visit and add unnecessary details to hopefully get a few bucks back…
