Healthy Paws Pet Insurance - They will not pay your claim
Please do not use this insurance as it keeps on denying insurance coverage that's not wellness. The bad experience I have: 1. it takes them 24-48 hours to deny your case. 2. it takes them 7-10 business days to review your resubmitted case. 3. they will deny your case and give you a reason that's not even true.

I can’t even put into words how amazing the customer service I received by Chase was this evening. She was so helpful in explaining every detail about insurance for my 6 pups. Chase was so patient and I never felt like she was rushing me off the phone. She was so kind and her passion for helping others showed in every way. She is very knowledgeable and was on point answering all my questions. She truly cares about animals, she cared about my pups! Honestly I have uploaded everything I was supposed to and I keep getting emails saying it is not enough (yes I provided a year of medical history). We have never had a claim in the entire year we have had this insurance, and all history was there. Our past insurance company was much easier to use and I didn't have near the hassle as this has been. I am hoping for more positive experiences in the future as I really want to be happy with this insurance as I heard good things. Just a bit frustrated.
Pumpkin - Buyer beware
When I purchase insurance from Pumpkin pet insurance I was thrilled to have my dog insured. I was told at that time the things that was covered and the things that was not covered. I was discussing certain issues that the breed of my dog has and I was told that those issues would be covered after six months. Unfortunately my dog developed Luxating Patella , which was one of the illnesses that I was told would be covered after six months, my dog didn’t develop it until he was three years old. I submitted a claim, and they did not process the claim until three weeks after the surgery so they can take another payment out of my account before sending me a denial letter. I’ve been with Pumpkin insurance for almost 3 years and I’ve only filed two claims for one illness and one for this surgery and the other was just a regular routine check . When I called to inquire about why first of all you waited till you took another payment out of my account before you sent me a denial letter and then why tell me at the time I purchased an insurance that this will be taken care of if it’s six months after I’ve had the premium, and he didn’t develop it until Two years 2 1/2 years why is it been denied at all they could tell me what it’s a pre-existing condition so buyer beware of Pumpkin insurance .
Figo Pet Insurance - Ear infection = denied claims
My puppy was found to have an ear infection at her vet check right after we bought her. Even though the vet stated this was likely from getting dirty water in her ear from a bath Figo will not cover any allergy or skin issues that developed several months later. I purchased Figo when the puppy was 3-4 months old . The ear infection occurred at at 2 1/2 months. I appealed twice but will not receive coverage for skin or allergy issues. I’m mostly disappointed because the vet stated the ear Infection is not related to my dogs allergy issues. Costco usually has very good products. I think Figo found a loophole and is able to refuse coverage to save themselves money.

Do yourself a favor and either put the money away each month or wait until your dog gets older to insure them I thought I was doing the right thing by insuring her when she was a puppy to avoid paying higher premiums when she got older. I first started out at $26.36 per month then it was increased each year to $31.42 to $37.29 to $40.32 to $42.34 and never had I claim throughout this whole time then I was notified it was being increased to $59.77 per month. They said it was due to all the other claims they have had to pay out of course not my claims. After the notification I did submit a claim as my dog had had inflammation in her gums and bleeding and because my vet marked it as a dental cleaning they denied the claim. Now why would I have another dental cleaning in February since I already had one in October we all know how expensive they are. So far I paid out over $2000.00 to healthy paws and I wish I would of put that money away instead of paying it to them I’ve had enough I will be canceling my coverage what a waste.
Figo Pet Insurance - I did not know that I had automatic renewal on account
I did not know that I had automatic renewal checked on in my account. I don't automatically renew a new service until I try it out. And more so, I can not find the item in my account to check it off if i decide to do that. It seems like it turned itself on without my approval. Hmmm What's going on with this?
