Can't add wellness until a year has passed

ASPCA is the WORST pet insurance out there! They’ve gone downhill severely in the last 2 years! They rejected a claim stating that the condition started prior to me having the cat who was rescued off the streets… So how are they stating it’s a preexisting condition, when the cat had never been seen by a vet before I rescued it. The vet put a wrong date in the record and send a letter to clear it up, taking accountability for their mistake, BUT ASPCA still rejected claims stating preexisting condition… it’s a scam “insurer” RUN DON’T WALK AWAY!!! I encourage any user who has been denied a claim improperly by this sham of an insurance company to please file a complaint with the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) against them! I was charged twice for pet insurance once on date due and again just recently for a dog who is my service animal for a mix of mental health issues please reach out to me so we can fix this or lawsuit will be filed

I was upset by the new medical records requirement. The bill states what was done. So why medical records for any visit? I don’t have time for this addd burden

You coverage doesn't cost even 50% of the portion in which vets charge. The price monthly is now out weighing to continue with service even with preventative service

AWFUL SERVICE... GOT DENIED ON MY MILOS CLAIM. FIRST TIME USING MY PETS INSURANCE..BECAUSE OF THE WORDING ON HIS INVOICE.EVEN THO IT STATES PAYED IN FULL..

Been paying for this insurance for over two years and have yet to actually put it to use. The cost per year would have been enough to cover the annual expenses for all the standard shots, dewormers, and tick / flea preventatives which by the way are not covered here. Attempted submitting a claim for this stuff. It only lists options for new injuries, new illnesses, or micro-chipping. Even if I could submit one, it wouldn't kick in until I have paid twice what I am already paying this company in a years time ($500). And to add to it all, despite never having to use insurance fortunately, the monthly premium went up another ten dollars in 2025. "Gotta pump up those numbers, rookie!" The greed is obvious and I am sick of it... To any animal owner reading this, I would suggest shopping around. Find out what is the best value and what will cover your pets needs. Not that you don't already do this, but more importantly - Love your animals, give them some freedom, keep your pets healthy and active, as well as a variety of food options throughout life if possible. My claim got canceled without my knowledge. Not only that, these people is saying that I canceled it....

I haven’t had a ton of experience with this company. I came over from a previous company that I loved but unfortunately could no longer get in my state. Now a few years later an only 1 claim filed for $300 I am not seeing the benefit for staying with ASPCA. The time it took to process the claim was almost a month. If I had to shell out thousands of dollars on a claim I don’t want to wait 4 weeks for a claim to process to get my money back. If you decide you want to add wellness to your policy you have to wait until your next policy renewal period. You have a very short window to make changes to it. Now I have had multiple insurances over the years for different pets of all ages and breeds. Since I have started this policy (2/1/2021) it has increased yearly anywhere from $25 to $50 a month. I had one $50 claim, and have two dogs on my policy (4 and 3). There is no reason for the policy to increase this much. I have asked other people in my area if there policies had similar rate hikes but they did not. I think it might be time to search for a different insurance company.

I was told that an invoice I sent for preventative care would take two to four weeks to process...for yearly checkup and shots. They have no problem debiting my credit card on time each month. I got this insurance in July and this is my first claim. DO BETTER.
