This company has charged my American Express for over $500. I did talk with the vet. He was very good. I appreciated it. However, their website is not working properly. I cannot see where any orders are on their way to me and now Orders are duplicated due to the fact that the webpage is not working correctly. I am reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and American Express and trust pilot as a scam. Here I am with a sick cat and no medicine and don’t know when I will get any medicine. Have used all my money for them and can’t take my cat to a real vet and I guess that’s only.
Dutch Pet Insurance - Vet is great
Vet is great, the issue is the shipping, it takes too long unless you pay 20+ bucks to rush the delivery. They really need to figure that part out better to make it more worthwhile to use this without charging you to transfer the prescription to someone in your city, in my opinion. No idea on the date of all this because I am still waiting on the meds for my pet, it has been that long....Don't go off the date I have to input to share this review
Dutch Pet Insurance - No sense of urgency
Was prescribed meds for my cat. I ordered them immediately and 8 days later I still don't have them. They keep saying oh so sorry its within the time frame. We are so sorry for this. Dutch needs to know this is 100 % unacceptable. My cat is sick and is still sick as the meds are still not here. So sure. You can get seen quick by a vet but the meds take forever to get to you. I would suggest to not order them through Dutch and to get the prescription sent in to a pharmacy.
Dutch Pet Insurance - BE AWARE!!
BE AWARE!!! I tried to transfer a prescription and it was impossible, there is a $5 pharmacy fee that can't be pay by itself or alone, it must be attached to a merchandise order, so finally I had to buy from them. I WAS IGNORED BY CUSTOMER SERVICE WHEN ASKING HOW TO PAY THIS PROCESSING FEE OF $5 ALONE....(I TRIED BY CHAT, BY E-MAIL) Finally, I had to buy from them as my pet was running out of food and I then I got feedback right away, but not any word related to the processing fee of $5, but for the order placed.
Dutch Pet Insurance - Not the right choice for is
If you are looking for a basic nurse line for your pet, Dutch is likely a good choice. We had Dr Boomer who was a very lovely and fabulous vet. Very caring and the concept of a virtual apt for a vet is pretty cool.
Dutch Pet Insurance - Customer service is great but actual vet care isnt the best.
Customer service is great. I was refunded for an accidental purchase of 2 annual membership. Here is the issue….vet service is decent BUT I had an appointment on 5/2 because my puppy is sick. I paid for the meds and the 2 options for shipping was either free shipping but meds wont come until 5/12 (which is 10 days of my dog then getting sicker and in pain from the hacking shes experiencing) or pay an additional $20 for expedited shipping so that they came on 5/6. I paid the extra $20 so my dog got meds in her ASAP. As 5/6 approaches, I hear and see nothing about the meds being shipped and it is now 5/8 and still nothing. Customer service just keeps saying they are working on it. My dog has been struggling with being sick and at this point I have requested a refund for everything and will end up just taking her to a in person vet.
Dutch Pet Insurance - Made a vet visit appointment
Made a vet visit appointment. The doctor on the call could not prescribe in Arizona. Was billed for the session. Second session was with a vet. Prescription ordered. Prescription sent to bogus address and was returned by shipper. 1 week later I’m billed for vet care of $35. I cancelled all prescriptions plus some I never ordered. Tried to cancel vet care. Website simply locks in yellow screen. All chargeable items to my knowledge have been cancelled. I’d like to delete my account but there doesn’t appear to an option for that. I contacted my bank and contested all charges.
Dutch Pet Insurance - Did not care that my kitty died, poor customer service
I told one of the vets I had seen, Mary Allen, that I put my cat to sleep, she did not even say sorry nor did customer service, they just deleted the cat's account. Obviously, they have no sense of really caring about you or your pet. Getting prescriptions is difficult as they didn't have everything in their pharmacy, whether they did or it had to be transferred to another pharmacy, it took a long time to receive medications even if I paid for rush shipping. I asked once to transfer a medication to my local pet pharmacy and they sent it somewhere else. I ordered a urine test kit and the doctor sent the wrong one plus it took over a week to arrive and I could not use it, it was unopened and untouched and is not a medication, all it is is sand litter and glass test tubes, but they refused to take it back, it cost me $170. The most recent medication I ordered five days ago has still not arrived. I consider this poor customer service. The vets themselves are very good and helpful and the ability to have unlimited visits without leaving the house is terrific. But I would think twice about using them again after my subscription expires if I ever have any pets in the future.
