Dutch Pet Insurance - An unfortunate waste of money
I feel its a waste of money. If you have a pet with pre-subscribed medication and you get it through dutch, maybe it might be worth it. I not only found better precise information through Google, i found my own references since the ones sent by the vet were not for California. If in doubt, its best to go to a physical vet , dont be like me wasting money to be told what you know
Dutch Pet Insurance - No show fee
Was charged up front to see the vet and I tried to connect to the zoom call five minutes prior and was having troubles, and while waiting for customer service to help by 5:01 was sent a no fee. Absolutely do not recommend this scam
Dutch Pet Insurance - Should have read the reviews first. They are EXACTLY as described
I had an appointment today at 7:50. I was waiting in the zoom room. The vet never came on, and charged me a no-show fee. I was interested in their price matching “promise”. You have to 1. Already have an appointment and PAY for the full price and 2 submit ridiculous amounts of documentation that MAY get them to “refund the difference”. Note that it does NOT say that on the online pharmacy before you pay for a subscription. Such scammers.
Dutch Pet Insurance - A ton of hidden fees & takes forever
A ton of hidden fees, and it takes forever to get the medicine your pet needs. I signed up thinking it would be faster and cheaper. That was completely false. Would NOT recommend!
Dutch Pet Insurance - The vet was excellent. Glitches in checkout/price match, but eventually was rectified.
The vet was great. But there seems to be a lot of trouble with getting the price matched. Their medications are way overpriced. And my checkout amount in the basket greatly exceeded the items. I tried their chat, their email, MANY times. No one replies. I've been working on this for hours.
Dutch Pet Insurance - The concept is great, but they enforce a 90 day membership minimum when they claim on their ads you can “cancel anytime”.
The concept is great. I have a senior dog and a cat from the pound and they always are seeming to need medical advice. My dog was very sick from a diet change. That is when I signed up. It seemed great that I was able to get in with a virtual vet over the weekend so quickly. But then even though there were a Costco right in my area where I could’ve went and picked up the medication, they explicitly wrote the prescription so that I could only order it through Dutch and that it would take over a week for the medication to arrive. when I notified them of my disappointment and needing to have the RX transferred, they made me pay a transfer fee and they made it sound like it wasn’t easy for people to get to a Costco. There is a Costco less than a mile and a half from where I live.
Dutch Pet Insurance - I don’t like this company
I don’t like this company, they are greedy and do shady charges. $5 processes fee to start. Bs fee. Then another $5 processing fee for pharmacy. Ya, you get the idea. Then ti getting the meds. I was told you could transfer it to you local pharmacy. No. You can’t. They will ship it to a local Costco and it will take the same time if they shipped to your house. Takes almost a week to get the meds. To get them two days earlier they wanted to charge me $40 which was more than the the meds themselves. I’m cancelling my subscription and I’m not a fan of companies that do these kind of practices. If you don’t mind getting bent over using their service, then go for it….
Dutch Pet Insurance - Used to be fantastic
Dutch used to be fantastic, but it seems as if they’re attempting to grow out of their startup phase and making pretty significant decisions that are making the platform less attractive. They implemented a pharmacy processing fee for every order regardless of size. You could previously have an order sent to your local pharmacy from the website, all you had to do was pay a fee, which is understandable. Now you have to reach out to support, who then take days to reply and send your prescriptions through. A pretty blatant attempt to get people to just fill prescriptions with their in house pharmacy or partner. That in itself isn’t that big of a deal until you actually do. Their shipment times for orders is atrocious. It can take half a week for them to even fill an order and process it, let alone give it to USPS for delivery.
Dutch Pet Insurance - Avoid Service, Total Ripoff
They do not issue refunds. They give you false information to get you to sign up for their service and then won't refund you when it does not live up to their sales pitch.
Dutch Pet Insurance - Rip Off
Do not give them payment information, they will immediately fraudulently charge you. Avoid them like the plague they are.
