Dutch Pet Insurance - Waste of money Zero support Website is faulty Possible bait and switch
Signed up, they took my money, and read "vet cannot presribe meds" What? That's why I chose them. Then, it would recognize the format of my cell. I'm in the US, so typical format. Switched to my laptop, I was on my phone, and it wouldn't recognize my login, I twice requested a password reset. Been an hour, and still don't see an email. I have two emails I use, and requested on both in case I made a mistake. Nope, nothing. Then I noticed that while they quickly took my money, they didn't send any emails regarding the usual "thanks for joining" "welcome to ..." nothing. Sent multiple messages for support, but of course they must be business hours, when I'd think a large amount of business comes from people after hours. You'd think you'd hear something, even after you purchased a membership. As someone who's owned an online business for 15+ years, this is unacceptable. Wasted time and money for absolutely nothing. I believed the online reviews, and I'm usually very suspicious of them, but I am extremely aggravated as I'm out money for nothing, and have no idea why this company thinks having poor support, a poor website, and no emails, is a way of doing business.
Dutch Pet Insurance - Was told cancellation was not their policy
I tried to cancel my membership within a few hours of registering, and was told cancelation was not their policy. No more than four hours had elapsed from registration to my request to cancel.

Dutch Pet Insurance - Disappointing
Fees for each prescription or transfer, vet has been unable to resolve any issue so far including ear infection and skin issue. Prices are not competitive and they "price match" but not for the kost common locations like Chewy that is cheaper and ships items that arrive within 1 to 3 days vs 2 weeks or more. Plus that doesn't include the $5 fee on top of the membership paid.
Dutch Pet Insurance - Vet was good, customer service is not
The vet was pretty great and diagnosed my pup quickly and was friendly enough. Ordered the med and flea meds (several hundred dollars) and UPS delivered it to the wrong house. I reached out to Dutch and they legitimately responded that we should wait 2 days and then they would escalate the matter. 1) the package will certainly be gone from someone’s porch in 2 days 2) my dog needs this medication asap, which is why we used this service.
Dutch Pet Insurance - I paid $20 for expedited rush shipping
I paid $20 for expedited rush shipping. It said one day expedited. I did not get the Rx and still haven't received it. They are not truthful in advertising. They state that to transfer to a local pharmacy could take days. You want to do the best for your pet, so I chose rush shipping. Customer service is hard to get a hold of and told me to check the FAQ's. Rush shipping can be 4 days. When checking out though it says 1 day expedited. Then another area says 1-3 days. I thought I had found a great vet option only to learn that that Dutch is about billing and couldn't give a flip about pets.
Dutch Pet Insurance - I have not received the Rx
I have not received the Rx. It has been 10 hours and when I tried to message the doctor. Dutch AI tells me expect a response in 2 days. I'm very disappointed 😞
Dutch Pet Insurance - Felt like a bait and switch
My wife signed up because there was a screen that said they could help us with our dog ellie. Then once she signed up for one month, it said there are no vets available. We tried to cancel and it wouldn't let us. It says we made a 3 month commitment which we DID NOT see.
