Dutch Pet Insurance - The vet was very friendly
The vet was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I do not like that the prescription for my pet has to be sent to me in the mail. I need the antibiotics to cure my dog’s infection immediately. I do not have time to wait for the prescription to come in the mail. You should give me the prescription and allow me to drop it off at a pharmacy near me so I can pick it up right away.
Dutch Pet Insurance - Great doctor, horrible pharmacy and customer care
I had a great experience with Dr. Hall—she was compassionate, knowledgeable, and clearly cared about my cat's well-being. Unfortunately, the overall service from Dutch has been disappointing. I ordered a prescription three weeks ago and still haven’t received it. When I tried to follow up, I was met with delays and unhelpful responses.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. I waited 5 minutes in a zoom call for the doctor to join he never did. I was then charged the no show fee even though I messaged the doctor on their website. He responds back saying he was waiting but I never joined. I said no there must be an issue with zoom then I had been waiting for you. Dutch customer service never answers the phone and does not respond to text messages. I am still waiting on them to respond to my many text or emails. If they don't refund me I will be disputing this charge with my bank. The initial day I joined Dutch it was like this. I didn't get through to customer service and had to repeatedly text for a response. Its unfortunate because my first appointment went great, and I got my medications in a timely manner for my dog. I was super excited for this appointment because the first Dr had been so great but Dr. Justin Michaels and the customer service team have ruined this experience. I wasn't even asking for a refund on the annual fee but a refund on the no show charge. But I can't get through to their customer service team. Now I just want a full refund there is no use in having a service and never being able to get ahold of customer service.
Dutch Pet Insurance - Tech issues on the website and AWFUL customer support.
The vets may be nice and care, however the website is GARBAGE. Multiple times now the buttons on the website literally don't work when I go to book a vet appointment. As in you click them, and they go nowhere. I have tried 5 different devices. I have cleared my cache and cookies and restarted all of the devices. It's laughable how unhelpful the customer support team is. I'm not dumb, I'm generally nice when speaking on the phone, I'm not technologically illiterate, I've worked in Customer Support in the past, and my experiences when something goes wrong at Dutch have been some of the worst I've ever experienced. I don't know where else to post a review for them or how to get ahold of them.
Dutch Pet Insurance - Too many issues
Had a whole week of back and forth w no appt availibliies, some video issues and then on the 3rd attempt the Vet didn’t show up for the meeting.
Dutch Pet Insurance - They don't care about your time they cancel when they want but if I cancel I get charged $25
So set up a zoom appointment and they sent emails stating if I cancel the day of the appointment I will get charged $25. So the day of the appointment my wife and I were waiting for the zoom call. No call but got an email stating they had to cancel our appointment. I wrote them and asked since you canceled the day of the appointment do I get a $25 credit to my account. They said no it only applies to the customer. Poor business practice. Bottom line is they don't care about your time clearly. They can cancel anytime they want with no consequences but the moment I do 25$ charge. No accountability at all. Very disappointed
Dutch Pet Insurance - Buyer Beware!
It was over the weekend and my dog had an ulcer on her eye, she had one in the past so i already new what meds i needed. I found dutch online and quickly placed an order and had my apt. When i submit my order, it said i would receive my order by the following wednesday. Wednesday came and went and i contacted dutch, they said that the site was wrong and promised my meds by saturday. Friday morning my dog had her eye removed. Saturday came and went and it is now monday (over a week later) and still no meds. I contacted dutch and requested a refund for the meds i still have not received and was told no. This is unbelievable. Do not trust that your medications will arrive on time. This company will not acccept accountability for promising medication delivery by certain days and it is not ok. Buyer Beware!

Dutch Pet Insurance - Great concept - terrible pharmacy process !
While this is a great concept and I love being able to see a vet virtually - the entire process for the medications completely beats the purpose of convenience . You have a sick animal - you pay their membership fee, you see a vet and vet prescribes meds. Now you will either wait 2-3 days for the meds to come from Dutch pharmacy or you will wait 2-3 days for the meds to be transferred to your local pharmacy. Totally defeating when you have a sick animal who needs the meds asap. I’m so upset over this whole medication process and I will never use them again. The veterinarian should be able to fax or call the scrips directly to the pets local pharmacy . Why would someone with a sick pet want to wait 2-3 days for the meds?? It’s easier to just take the animal to your local vet. Use another provider as Dutch has went downhill.
Dutch Pet Insurance - Was once happy.
If I would leave this review when I first started using Dutch, I would’ve given it four stars. The vets that I was seeing were awesome, kind and very knowledgeable. jumping to currently, Dutch has gone downhill. I had to pay to get a prescription transferred to my local Costco. The five dollars wasn’t a problem. The fact that it took almost 6 weeks to get it sent over after I paid, I also requested the prescription be chewable and it wasn’t. When I contacted the help line, they stated that since I had one filled I had to go through the whole process of messaging the veterinarian and scheduling another appointment to get it changed. After I complained about this, I went to the website to see if it was corrected, and my membership was canceled. The way this business is run makes me take pause on the care of my fur family.
