Don’t waste your time or jeopardize your pet. They sent my Dog’s prescription to the wrong address THREE months in a row. They believe that Gabepentin and Trazadone are the answers for EVERYTHING and if they don’t work, then they’ll just tell you to increase the dosage. When you tell them that your fur baby had a bad reaction they say, “that’s strange. Could you upload a video?” but guess what?? The site won’t allow the video to upload. They almost REFUSE to prescribe anything that their Pharmacy doesn’t carry (the ingredients their Pharmacy uses is SUPER suspect) but if you can manage to get them to prescribe something that you know works for your fur baby because he’s been your fur baby for 11 years, they’ll tell you that CHEWY will fill it but guess what?? Chewy has decided not to work with them! In the beginning it seemed like they TRULY CARED, now they are one THOUSAND percent about the money. Any ETHICAL Vet would prescribe what is right for your pet, not only what is carried by their own Pharmacy.

Dutch Pet Insurance - They need to show next appointments…
They need to show next appointments available before you pay. We paid to find out there weren't any appointments for two days. Tried to cancel right away and requested a refund, which they refused to do. It feels kind of like a scam at that point. Their website makes it seem as if you can talk to a vet right away. Went to a competitor and got medication to my front door before they could even honor an appointment.

This is an overpriced, worthless service with no value. In order to get meds I need to pay an extra fee or they don’t get here for 2 weeks. I can’t order prescription food even though I was told I could. There is not a phone number to give the alleyvet or Petrx to purchase the food and nextguard. I basically paid $80 for a worthless subscription and another $80 for ear drops. This service is horrible and I regret signing up. I’m now editing this as I was given a “free portrait of my dog” when I entered the code, it says this code has reached it usage limit. Wish I could screenshot.

She went above and beyond to make sure everything was resolved, even when it seemed like the rest of the team had dropped the ball. Ariel took the time to listen, showed genuine empathy, and followed through when others wouldn’t.
Dutch Pet Insurance - Waste of time and money
Waste of time and money! He recommended a dosage of insulin for my cat during our call and I asked if he will send me the dosage through email or to a pharmacy, and he said “no just call your regular vet and tell them to write the dosage”. His written recommendation was “call your vet”.
Dutch Pet Insurance - Never received service and charged multiple times
I have been dealing with some issues with my dog and was excited to try out Dutch for a cheaper option than my vet. I subscribed and was charged 45 dollars. I made one appointment with a vet and when the appointment came, I was waiting on the Zoom Call at 5:40, at 5:41 the vet messaged and told me that they couldn't help me. The video call never happened, I received no service, and the vet sent one message in response to an extensive questionnaire that I filled out. I asked for a refund as my account was less than 24 hours old at the time and was told that I can't get one due to the work the vet did. They sent one message.

This service is absolutely useless unless you are spending wasteful money on actual live visits to vets that cant seem to fix the issues. I don't see the point. The industry overall is useless. Humans have obviously caused all the issues related to our pets and their obnoxious medication resistant yeast problems. As such the industry is woefully negligent in finding ways to eliminate this issue. When vets call you from this service they should show up with knowledge about the rules in your state. I find it to be lazy and low level professionalism.

BEWARE:….I would not use Dutch. They accepted my annual membership fee of 104.00. I schedule a telemedicine visit. I review the items recommenced. Dutch’s veterinarian’s recommendation email appears to not reflect my annual membership & wants me to upgrade my membership again. There is not a customer service number to call. All I wanted was antibiotics for an ear infection. The vet sales attempts me in his recommendations with $335.00 of unnecessary stuff. There’s no way to delete the unwanted items from the Vets recommendations. A customer can’t reach the customer service staff to discuss. It’s as if Dutch team is hiding from you after they receive your money. Maybe because Dutch is California they can over change. Spare yourself the frustration.
