Fetch Canada - What I find disturbing is my pup got…
What I find disturbing is my pup got insurance with fetch my pup was 8 weeks old and was told it will be $150 a month my sister also signed up and her play was $56 I called and was told it is because of her postal code we live 10 minutes away from each other so that makes absolutely no sense. So today a payment was due and they tried to take twice the amount that was her plan price. I will be canceling Maizie’s policy tomorrow along with my sister as she said the same thing. My vet said it is better to just save the money and if we don’t use it then we won’t be wasting money. Smart vet
Fetch Canada - After I contacted Fetch and cancelled…
After I contacted Fetch and cancelled my pet’s coverage, they continued taking money from my credit card for 3 months. They are refusing to reimburse me.
Fetch Canada - Cannot trust this company.
I cancelled my policy in January 2025 through email. Fetch acknowledged my request then continued to take the money from my account for 3 months. They refuse to give my money back and are ignoring my communications.
Fetch Canada - Just Okay
Big monthly rate increases -up almost 65% in under 4 years, and that’s with very few claims
Fetch Canada - Customer service is no more it’s a historical item
I just tried to cancel my ageing elderly cats policy, as the access for the yearly policy is more than end of life procedures would be. Rang first thing in the morning. That’s the only way you can do things over the phone and then was greeted with a hard pressure hostility attitude from the customer service representative.
I don’t know what to say other than I think customer service is dead in this day and age and especially with fetch because this will be the second set of bad interactions I’ve had with the company.
I have four pets insured via them and I’m considering removing all my policies now.
When somebody asks you repeatedly to just cancel the policy, please just cancel the policy to argue with a customer is not customer service. To add stress levels to an elderly person is not customer service.

UPDATE – May 15, 2025
I called Fetch, as instructed in their response, and was transferred to Tracy, a customer advocate—presumably a step above a typical customer service representative. Initially, Tracy offered me the same policy I had last year: $15,000 coverage, $350 deductible, and 80% reimbursement—for $360.84 per month or $4,330.08 annually. I was prepared to accept this just to maintain my coverage without further hassle.
However, after checking another system, Tracy reversed her position and reverted to offering a $500 deductible with 70% coverage. When I questioned the change, she began citing company policy and individual risk assessments. The inconsistency and lack of transparency are incredibly frustrating. BEWARE!
Fetch has not been the same since the change in ownership. I’m now waiting to hear back from her supervisor.
Fetch Canada - This company wasn’t transparent with…
This company wasn’t transparent with their policy even though I asked the right questions to make sure that I was following the procedures. My cat’s recently discovered condition was claimed to be “pre-existing” even after her vet submitted a letter stating that it was a new condition. I cancelled it. I do not recommend Fetch.
Fetch Canada - Everything is a pre-existing condition
This company has the worst customer service. I have been running in circles trying to get more information on why my pet’s claim was declined. Each email and phone call they give me the same general answer of “it was a pre-existing condition” but when I ask how this is determined and show proof that it was not a pre-existing condition they cannot give me any information. They will deem everything pre-existing so they do not reimburse anything. Customer service is all run by bots so it is extremely difficult to talk to a real person.
