I was in an auto accident on Memorial Day. The woman who hit me has Lemonade for auto insurance. My car is still Not repaired. No major damage, but there is damage that needs repaired. May be good cheap insurance for the insured. Be aware if you're involved in an accident with someone covered by Lemonade, you'll likely need an attorney to resolve matters. I made mistake of not calling police to have ticket issued.

Takes up to 14 days for them to add additional coverage- so my engagement ring is uncovered for 14 days until I get an official “approval”. This is honestly ridiculous to me and I’m cancelling all my policies with Lemonade over this. Use a different insurance agency, instead.

Stated benefits before signing up were not honored after signing up. 1st claim was not reimbursed in full.

Currently dealing with lemonade for a renters insurance claim. When I purchased there insurance I was hopeful that they would have the same industry standards as the big guys... not even close. Communication is non existent. Filed going on a month ago and have only gotten 2 emails weeks apart from my adjuster. Thats it. And calls to speak to supervisor twice was told they would call me within 24/48 business hours.. still waiting on those calls weeks later. I had a theft happen and although I have reciepts for most items they are refusing to do anything for a lot of my smaller items that most people dont save reciepts for like makeup and clothes. Even tho it's not a large amount just a small amount of each. They are saying the only way the will cover ANY items is if I have reciepts, online order forms or pictures with me wearing said items. As someone who hates pictures greatly and who was gifted the clothing for my bday and xmas neither of there options are available for me to provide. And they won't budge at all. Even tho there website states they understand not everyone keeps every single reciept and that they mainly want reciepts for items $250 and over that statement is so misleading. It says your adjuster will go over with you how to deal with proof for those items. When all they do is tell you you have to have a reciept or pictures wearing those things. Doesn't make any sense. And never would have gone thru them if we had known they would do everything they could to lower the amount of our claim.

Very poor communication

When I first got insurance for my pet I got a good deal, good price good coverage but the moment my year was up. Bam $50 increase every year. No warning, by email or mail. This is ridiculous. I will differently be looking for another insurance after my pet finishes his treatment because 150monthly is crazy! for the amount of time I take him to the vet is way too much.

Had homeowners insurance for one year with them after purchasing a house. Once it came time for renewal (4 months prior to my coverage running out), I was asked to submit 30-40 pics of my entire house on the inside and out as well as answer an extensive list of questions related to my property. Okay, that’s fine. They took over a month to “review” everything. Then came a laundry list of the ridiculous items they were denying me renewal over, such as one singular 3ft tall vine on the side of my house that had since been removed. They claimed satellite images showed a tree over my roof. There is not. A neighboring property that sits abandoned has a tree but it does not overhang my roof. I submitted more documentation of this. Then it was that “brush” had not been maintained, which is also not on my property. The brush in question is seven feet away from my house on the abandoned property. No amount of documentation made a difference so it was a huge waste of time. It took three months to do all of this and they still denied me. I can’t speak for how they handle claims but this experience alone made me never recommend them.

Lemonade has stalled the processing of a claim that is clearly covered. In fact, the company already covered a previous claim emanating from the exact same condition that is the subject of the current, stalled claim.

Customer service is poor. Its all autobot so anything not in "parameters" get ignored.

The worst insurance company on Earth.
