Lemonade - Sooner or later.. the mask will go off
The biggest example of wolf in sheep’s clothing has to be Lemonade Insurance. My experience with them has been nothing short of appalling. Initially, they lure you in with a sleek app and promises of quick claims, but behind that polished façade lies a company that seems more interested in dodging responsibility than providing genuine support.
Lemonade - No option to opt out of auto renew!
What seemed to be a pleasant experience in my year with them, although I haven't had to claim. My experience was left with a bitter end as they don't give you the option to opt of auto renewing next year's policy! I've never known any company to do this. You have to cancel your current one 5 working days before they begin taking payments for next year's premium. Naturally this will leave you without cover for a period or you have to start your new policy earlier than planned, which is ridiculous.
Lemonade - The off shore reps are hard to…
The off shore reps are hard to understand and they don’t understand me. That makes it difficult to get anything done
Lemonade - The absolute worst pet insurance
The absolute worst pet insurance. AVOID at all costs. Every claim is a battle. I had 3 letters from my vet saying my dog's condition was NOT pre-existing. I had to file a claim with governmental authorities to get paid. Impossible to speak with anyone. They are the worst.
Lemonade - Horrible in times of need
I’ve been using lemonade for years for ease of things through the app. But their customer support and claim process is horrible. If you have no issue they’re easy, if you do they are horrific. Go else where immediately.
Lemonade - How Lemonade tricks you
Lemonade prides itself to being new challenger insurer different to the old big corporates. They have sleek app and taking out a policy is very easy and customizable.
Lemonade - For Pet insurance- The lemonade app is…
For Pet insurance- The lemonade app is easy to use and easy to submit claims however, from my experience they find ways to deny coverage for almost everything. It was not worth spending the amount I did spend on insurance.
Lemonade - I have had Lemonade for 3 years for…
I have had Lemonade for 3 years for Home Insurance, at about $1500 per year. Right now it is September 2025 and I just received my renewal...wanting $7,394.
Lemonade - Web Signup. Mobile Managment!
I used a desktop web browser to buy and pay for insurance. I mean, who would use a mobile phone over a desktop. Large screen, keyboard.
Lemonade - Slimy Pet Insurance
Incredibly misleading with how they define “pre-existing conditions”. My dog has had a yeast infection once before and an ear infection, and Lemonade will now no longer ever cover either of those illnesses because she had them before. Condition would you lead you to believe it refers to long-standing or incurable diseases. Broken bone prior to starting? Sorry not covered. Eye infection one time in 2 years? Sorry not covered. Parasite during puppy age? Sorry not covered.
