Lemonade - Fraudulent business practices
Fraudulent business practices. The website clearly stated I was purchasing a new policy for my cat. However when proceeding with checkout they charged my card three times for three different amounts claiming an old policy I had over two years ago had an outstanding balance. Yet it did not say such things when proceeding with checkout. Then they refuse to give me my money back. Steer clear of this company and move forward with something with better/clear business practices. I’ll be moving forward with my dispute with my bank. Not happy

Lemonade pet insurance is full of shit. Overpriced for basic coverage and anything useful are add-ons to your useless base package.

If you include all the necessities like dental, vaccine, and annual check up, the monthly fee is around $150.

They won't cover heartworm prevention, even though they say they will and have the product listed. Only flea and tick. Edit: They covered it in the first year, not in the second or third year. If you get a flea and tick med, they won't cover ProHeart. I have the claims to prove it. And I have messaged them several times. It's like speaking to a robot...
Lemonade - Denied for Doing the Right Thing - AI Concerns
EDIT: After weeks of back and forth, my vet advocating for my pet, and emails - they still decided to deny my claim. I cancelled my pet insurance for both of my pets with them, as well as my renter's insurance. I would avoid this company like the plague. They have no empathy, no heart, and no concern for you or your pets.
Lemonade - Insurance insuring that we don’t get assurance!
Who are these people giving Lemonade a 5 star review?? Perhaps they are giving 5 stars for the ease of starting a pet policy via their colorful app, or the cute way their Bot Maya talks to you via chat or the cute colors and cool name they have? They make you feel so good and make you think they are different right? I get it. That’s 5 star advertising for sure and I fell for it! Genius!
Lemonade - Sloppy and Confusing
The process from submitting a claim to reaching a resolution was slow, disorganized, and sloppy. I had to submit evidence to multiple employees repeatedly. I had to follow-up multiple times with slow movement.

I would never recommend Lemonade pet ins. The first claim I made hardly covered anything they claimed they would. My second claim has not been paid. I was also asked to submit vet reports, which I did twice and have still not been reimbursed! Their poor communication and response time is terrible. I cancelled
Lemonade - Stay away from Lemonade
I agree with you. Stay away from Lemonade. They were once good, but unfortunately, they have gone the way to shyster insurance I received a notice of non-renewal over a water heater they believe was 18 years old. I provided pictures showing it was manufactured in 2018. they finally relented, but they increased my dwelling coverage to 600K. My hour is worth 460K in a hot market. I have zero claims history. They claimed they had to based on underwriter's algorithms. I explained they were using faulty data. I surveyed 4 insurance companies, and they all were bewildered about the water heater as they never non-renewed on that basis. They wanted to increase my rate by almost 75% I received a quote for much less dwelling coverage and a policy at a lower price that I am paying now. I have filed a complaint with the State Insurance Department.
Lemonade - Thought I'd found a great new…
Thought I'd found a great new insurer... Until.... Whole process of joining was easy and got home cover in place 3 weeks before needed. Then got a surprise on the morning policy started of a welcome letter telling me valuables were only covered temporarily as I needed to supply photos and valuations. Items were jewellery my wife had had for 20 years and we'd never been asked for all this before, despite using a number of insurers. When asked they were very polite but not helpful... Willing to take receipt or bank statement as proof, from 19 years ago!!!! Went straight back to old insurer who reactivated old account, no quibbles. Be careful if using, check valuable limits as they are lower than others and it wasn't very clear.
