Talk about a bad experience, firstly I got a call from the police asking if I had been in an accident which I had not and secondly after one month of having the insurance they tried to raise my insurance to over 500 a month for two drivers liability. I will be switching to a better alternative and I personally do not like the fact that they monitor everything you do it’s intrusive and should be illegal. How can you justify raising someone’s insurance without having been in an accident or receiving a ticket it just doesn’t happen with other insurance companies and this is all bait and switch tactics on their behalf. I already found another insurance company that is very reputable with same coverage at half the price. I don’t want to see hard working people get ripped off .

They got me to leave my trusted company to lower my house payment, then when it was time to renew they came up with all these reasons why they couldn't renew my policy, and just left me hanging.. Also I found out the coverage I had with them had no replacement Insurance. Trust me do not let them get you! do not leave your trusted homeowners insurance that you have. The coverage is bad and they leave allot out to get you a low payment up front , then when time to renew they will drop you like a cold turkey sandwich!!

Have been paying their high prices for pet illness coverage. As soon as my pup gets sick they deny the claim for 3 different reasons. Standard insurance company that will find every reason not to pay when you need them. Absolutely abhorrent.

How could anyone give this company more than 1 star? Their app is pathetic. You can't pull up your policy. There's no way to link your policy.

Poor customer service. I've been with them for 2 years, and they upped my insurance by £50. I was happy to pay the extra, but now they're not honouring this and are making me get a new quote through their website which is much more expensive!

I requested to cancel my policy Oct 2024. They responded to my request but did not honor it. I continued be charged a monthly premium until I noticed this on my credit card in May 2025. I reached out and complained. They finally closed the policy but refused to reimburse me for Dec-May even though I sent them the original email showing my request to cancel in December.

Lemonade bought my prior insurer, so my pay per mile insurance (I barely drive) transferred to them. After years with zero problems on metromile, within a few months of the switch to lemonade the dongle that tracks my miles silently dropped its connection, and without texting or calling me, lemonade just increased my monthly payment from around $60 to around $1500 and started taking that out of my bank account. Again, with no attempt to contact me first. Freaking crazy, avoid these jackals at all costs.

The windshield claim process is messy. The denial does not make sense.

I had previously been insured with Metromile who was unfortunately bought out by Lemonade. I had such a positive experience with Metromile. I live in the city and mostly bus around. My insurance has increased by 75%. And while they say they take into account your driving record, they do NOT. When I last questioned the huge increase they sent me a message saying that rate increases were due to many factors including driving record. When I responded that my driving record was exemplary they responded with oh, this was an across the board increase. When I saw an ad on television touting their taking driving record into account I had to write this review. Don't be duped. This company is predatory like so many other insurers.

Our son's cat got sick and had to go for emergency surgery. The cat was operated for bladder stones. The claim was denied saying that it is a pre-existing condition. The cat has not had any issues before that. As I am reading the reviews, I realize that many claims have been denied on the grounds of pre-existing condition. I would not recommend Lemonade Pet Insurance to anyone. Will definitely cancel the insurance. What is the point in paying for an insurance month after month and not being able to use it when needed.
