Odie - Odie: How Long Should Direct Deposit Take?
I filed three claims with Odie over a month ago. Thankfully, they were all approved. I requested direct deposit for reimbursement. This was on Monday. Today is Friday and I haven't received anything. ManyPets used to pay with 24-48 hours after approval. Anyone have any experience with Odie? How long does it take them to reimburse?
Odie - Transition from ManyPets to Odie – Feeling Overcharged, What Should I Do?
I was previously with ManyPets and paid about $64/month for my pet’s insurance. Now that ManyPets has discontinued its US operations, my policy is being transitioned to Odie. However, under this transition I’m forced to pay $71/month for a plan that only offers a $20k annual limit at 90% reimbursement.
What makes it worse is that new Odie Direct customers can get a policy for $37/month with a $40k annual limit—but of course, switching to that means starting a new policy (with waiting periods and loss of coverage for pre-existing conditions).
I had no say in this change, and I’m feeling like I’m being unfairly charged more for lower benefits. Has anyone else experienced something similar?
• Is there any legal angle or consumer protection law that might help contest these changes?
• Should I try negotiating further with Odie or consider switching to Odie Direct despite the downsides?
• What have your experiences been in situations like this?
Any insights, advice, or similar stories would be greatly appreciated!
Odie - Update: ODIE IS A SCAM
**Odie is taking my monthly money and not holding up their end of the bargain.**
**UPDATE:** Odie responded to my Google review and processed my three claims. They denied coverage for all of them, stating in the EOB "preexisting condition." My dog developed this condition while a policy holder on ManyPets, ManyPets processed claims for this condition regularly (which is why we have the insurance), and Odie stated there would be continuation of care.
**I've filed a claim with my state insurance commissioner, thanks to the recommendation of this sub.**
I was switched to Odie from ManyPets when ManyPets sold and want the world to know: ODIE IS A SCAM. GET OUT WHILE YOU CAN & DEF DON'T SIGN UP. Aside from the significant increase in monthly cost and 20k coverage limit on a previously unlimited plan, Odie is...nowhere to be found. My claims are not being processed, nobody answers the phone, the chatbot isn't responsive, and I literally cannot get any information.
Odie - Odie pet insurance- fradulently charged my credit card when I told them I will not be signing up for their policy
\*\*\*UPDATE\*\*\*\*
Emailed Odie and they replied saying they refunded my CC.

Hi,
I was fradulently charged for pet insurance premium from Odie, after they merged with Manypets. I have contacted both companies (email, phone call) and discussed I would not be renewing my pet's insurance contract.
The renewal date was January 3rd.
Today, Odie emails me saying that they've successfully processed the monthly premium.
Any tips on how I can get my money back and ensure that Odie does not harass my family/fradulently take my money? I'm very upset, as I had done my due diligence in communicating that I would not be renewing my insurance policy with them.
On an additional note-- This left a very bad impression on me, and I will not be recommending Odie to anyone on this reddit forum.
Thank you.
Odie - ManyPets / Odie merger - premium went up $1420!
I've known for a while that ManyPets was merging with Odie but I (wrongly) assumed that the policies would be largely the same. Odie emailed me yesterday with the new policy and billing summary and my jaw hit the floor.
My plan on ManyPets was an annual deductible of $750 and unlimited coverage with 10% co-insurance. The annual premium was $377.04.
According to the renewal notice with Odie, there is an annual max payout limit of $20k, deductible of $250 and 10% co-insurance (so an inferior plan) and the annual premium is **$1799.42?!** There is also a billing statement for a Wellness Plan, which I never had on ManyPets.
I emailed customer support immediately on Friday and they haven't gotten back. My credit card will be billed on Monday. I'm going to call them first thing Monday morning but I'm pretty concerned.
Others who were on ManyPets - are you sticking with Odie? People who have had Odie and used them for claims, what has been your experience? I'm certainly not willing to pay $1800. I have a 7 year old pug and he's healthy/never had any pre-existing issues. But I'm concerned that due to his age, I'll have a hard time getting a decent premium on a new plan.

I hope this info helps and would love any additional details anyone else may have… As I assume there are a multitude of others that are in the exact same (sinking) boat.
Had ManyPets for 2 years. Used it and Loved it. Premium went up 223% this year when they announced the switch to Odie. Shortly after I sent an email disputing that increase, I got an email from both ManyPets and Odie stating that they had found a discrepancy and revised my premium amount to a much lower rate. THEN, days after, Odie went ahead and charged the Amex I had in file with ManyPets without authorization AND it was for an amount greater than they had originally stated. I have emailed them a dozen times over the last 2 to 3 weeks, tried to reach them on chat through the portal, and I've been calling every day. I've only been able to find two numbers that are intended for customer care: (877) 327-0471 & (877) 427-0471 I get nowhere with either one. Continuous on old music on one, dead air on the other. I contacted American Express, as I had my auto-payment with ManyPets set up with them (in hindsight, that was very smart). I created a dispute and they removed the AmEx card for future payments, but have started that I need to get someone on the phone or an answer via email proving they understand I wish to cancel. It sounds as though unless I can do that, I may be out that initial charge that hit on 1/3. The Amex representative did help me track down a third number he found listed on the Internet somewhere: (212) 645-2884. This is a New York number and is eventually sent to Voicemail for someone named Miles Darson. I've now called this number and left a message two days in a row. Still have no reply.
I will say, I looked up the Odie office location on a map and it's very near the area in California where all the raging fires are going on. I can't help but wonder if that has something to do with this, but also can't imagine they wouldn't post information for all their clients or answer the phone and reply to emails. It appears as though they just took everybody's money and ran ...
Happy that I was only charged once and was able to cancel future payments through AMEX, but even just on principle… I want my money back from the initial charge. Extremely infuriating.
