After the first claim I received an email stating they were doing a health history check on my dog. Shortly after I received an email with a list of things they won’t cover. Many of these things were temporary in nature, like diarrhea. It would be like my insurance saying you had a cold six months ago, we won’t cover anything related to a cold for 1 year. Buyer beware. They are polite. That’s about it. I should have never left Nationwide.

Do not trust them or believe their BS advertising. They have denied my last two claims.

We have had Healthy Paws Pet Insurance for our mini Goldendoodle since she was a puppy eight years ago. At that time we thought we were getting a good rate. Much to our dismay, they raise the annual premium almost yearly. Each year we are forced to lower our reimbursement percentage and increase the yearly out of pocket amount, We are now paying almost three times our original monthly payment. The company explained that there were too many claims from our state forcing the rates to go up. In my opinion this us nothing more than a bait and switch racket. Beware of getting sucked into this scam.

The company makes you call them after you upload your insurance so they can approve it. They will also charge you regardless if you upload it on time. They also have extremely rude customer service agents that will not answer questions and just hang up on you.
