Animalia - So glad I bought this insurance plan…
So glad I bought this insurance plan for both my dogs . After having the plan for 16 months I actually had to file my first claim ; took only a week to get my check for the services I paid for at the vets . Two weeks later my dog needed surgery to remove a mass on his left front leg that grew quickly . The cost of that totaling over 6,000 dollars ; it was approved almost right away and now my other check is coming in the mail ; they are quick , not to mention they are also very kind and compassionate when you talk with them on the phone . I would highly recommend them to anyone needing affordable pet insurance with quick claim process , they are worth more than just 5 stars !!!
Dutch Pet Insurance - Dutch removed prescription access with no notice — waste of money
I paid for an annual Dutch membership in January 2025 specifically to access virtual vet visits and prescription medications like Bravecto, which were actively being advertised and available at the time.

I’ve been paying $90 a month expecting peace of mind for my pet’s health. Instead, I’ve received nothing but frustration. Not a single one of my claims has been approved – not even the most basic or clearly eligible expenses. Every time I submit a claim, it feels like they find some excuse to deny it.
MetLife Pet Insurance - Claims don’t get paid
It has been impossible to get a claim paid. I have given all of the documents several times and still can’t get it resolved. The Vet sent the information again and I’m still told that it’s still pending. I’m at a loss
Figo Pet Insurance - Declaration not reimbursed - inadequate registration procedure
My claim for the treatment of a bladder infection of our cat was not reimbursed by Figo, referring to a comment in his file that, according to me and our vet, has no causal link with bladder infection whatsoever. Our cat developed a bladder infection 5 weeks after taking out the insurance, so in essence Figo's suggestion is that I would purposefully have registered our cat while he already had a bladder infection, and then let him walk around with it for 1½ months, just to be able to declare the invoice? What an annoying and also disrespectful insinuation.....
Spot Pet Insurance - SCAM
They refuse to cover ANYTHING and will blatantly lie and gaslight you when you try to confront them about anything. They told me my cat had "never received a dental cleaning" even though it was CLEARLY in his claims records that he has one before. They just adamantly denied it and said "well you can try to appeal if you want". They are a SCAM.
Pet Insurance - I just wanted wellness
I just wanted wellness. But your site states that I had to get accidental. It also states that accidental would not be approved for 2 weeks and wellness was right away. You guys wanted 2 months in advance. No problem. I scheduled my pup for a wellness visit and went to print out the docs. Both the wellness and accidental was effective in 2 weeks. Talking about a bait and switch.
Lemonade - App Harassment, fraudulent charge
Lemonade has an application they wanted me to use to monitor my driving. I did not want to use it and they constantly harassed me by sending text messages and emails saying they will increase the premium if I didn't use it. Also, because of this reason, every time I was logged in my Lemonade account I could see a note saying that I was “not quite covered yet”, although my car premium was paid in full. So the premium was paid and I was not covered ?!!?
Spot Pet Insurance - The policy terms and what is covered…
The policy terms and what is covered are not clear. For example flea and heartworm preventive is only covered at $25 per year not per treatment. The website states no waiting period that is wrong. My first claim was denied because they stated my policy was not active yet. I have had 5 claims submitted and only 3 paid. Not worth the money. I will not be renewing my policy. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!
Resident Insure - Today was great
Today was great. I spoke with Mickelle, and she was so nice. I hope I spelled her name correctly, but it's on a recorded line, on July 1, 2025, at about 9:20 am central time. She was so nice and patient.
