There is absolutely no reason to use this service. They can’t provide and subscribe medications beyond 14 days and there’s conflicting information about whether they can even prescribe them at all. They don’t tell you upfront when you join that if you do want to have a consultation about medication’s for your pet that there’s a $30 fee. They say that they have 24 seven service but when there’s an issue, it takes at least one to two business days to get a response business days meaning so over the weekend it’s gonna be more like 3 to 4 days. You cannot speak to a live person. You’re welcome to speak to a bot. This has been a total waste of time 100% frustrating there is no point in using this company whatsoever. My recommendation is runaway find something that actually is worthwhile

This company has the worst customer service. I have been running in circles trying to get more information on why my pet’s claim was declined. Each email and phone call they give me the same general answer of “it was a pre-existing condition” but when I ask how this is determined and show proof that it was not a pre-existing condition they cannot give me any information. They will deem everything pre-existing so they do not reimburse anything. Customer service is all run by bots so it is extremely difficult to talk to a real person.

Lemonade refused to honor their policy regarding neutering. They claim it's covered in my policy, but refused to re-imburse me for neutering costs. Fought with them for weeks. I canceled my Lemonade policy.

Horrible experience on final claim after losing our dog to cancer. I have had this insurance for 10 years. Never had a claim until March 2025 when we found out our dog had cancer. I submitted 2 bigger claims, but under $500. Another for medications and a final for euthanasia which $150. Never in the previous larger 4 claims did they ever ask for a full 10 year medical record of our dog until the final claim. Seems if a full medical record was necessary it should have been required on first claim, not after losing our dog and on the final claim. This company is unethical and I cannot help but wonder if this about getting yet another payment while they jerk us around.

I've been with Lemonade five years. One claim in 2021 and one within the past month. Premium doubled in 2024 due to cats age. Claim this month was approved and applied to my deductible. I needed a reimbursement since funds are tight. Called them on 5/7 to see if claim funds could be applied to monthly payment - was told I would be contacted by escalation team within 1-2 business days. Have not heard back and monthly charge was deducted today. Buyers beware of their process - can work for some, but see no value in this company anymore.

Their ESA letter does not hold up to scrutiny. The therapist who writes it has a legit license but has a voice mail greeting that says she doesn’t speak to landlords and any requests must be done through “your portal”

They denied coverage of my pet's ACL surgery and treatment claiming it was an illness not an injury. I contacted my veterinarian about this and they claim they have never heard such a ridiculous denial. ASPCA will not be there for you or your pet, do not recommend the use of this company. Either a lack of knowledge or lack of compassion, very poor experience

I had a conversation through email regarding my claims. They explained why i was not getting paid with one of the items I sent, however, I asked them what about the rest of the claims which were not pre existing condition? I haven’t gotten any answer.
